Makabu too. I'm interested in seeing how Rahman gets on, but I believe he actually lost that sparring session. Ishe Smith was the guy calling out the English kid too as opposed to the other way around according to him. All Access did a lot of editing.
The General, wtf is your problem you weirdo? Starting off, STB made a thread about someone turning pro, no more and no less. There was zero hype or even what you might call excitement or enthusiasm in his OP, nor any post since. As for how good Rahman was in the amateurs, well here, all you need to or can know is laid out in this other thread from when he was supposed to originally turn pro, 20 months ago: http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=459267 You could just look it up yourself instead of harassing STB for no apparent reason. Rahman Jr. was a so-so amateur. Made it to some national tourneys, didn't win any. He did, however, spend the last several years apprenticing at the Mayweather Boxing Club, for what it's worth.
I think he will have a mediocre career nothing special. I wish I was wrong but from what I've seen he's just not amazing or anything. The Mayweather gym experience will help. Sharif Rahman is the one to watch for but he's a bit young to even think of turning pro yet.
Yeah, fair assessment - which, it should be noted, is no more hoopla than STB ever made about the kid. All he said was "he is turning pro". The General needs to get a grip.
:good I am really looking forward to the young Rock's career. It seemed from the vids I've watched he may not have quite the power his father packed but he is more lean in appearance. He was supposed to have his coming out party debut on the Mayweather undercard last year so I hope he don't back out of the November scheduled date.
