Prime, Hasim ko's him but the fight cant be made because of Wilder and his handlers pure flappin. Now, Hasim ko's him but the fight cant be made because of Wilder and his handlers pure flappin !
If it was prime for prime I would take Hasim at this point. Then again we don't really know how good Wilder is yet as he doesn't like fighting the top guys.
Both chinny with a big punch, might just come down to who lands first. I favour Rahman but not by much.
Rahman easy. Prime Rahman had good power and accuracy in both hands. Makes Wilder do the chicken dance several times followed by a right hook to say goodnight.
Yay! Another hypothetical match up in which Wilder gets KO'd! Prime Rahman would be my favourite in a match up between these two glass cannons but not by much. This fight would be as difficult for me to pick as Rahman or Wilder vs Morrison.
I'll go with Rahman. At his best he had the determination to shake off bombs and the power to switch off the lights of even the best fighters. Hasim was a bit hot and cold in that he could be underwhelming, but at his best he could hang with the best. Wilder makes a speciality of looking bad against journeymen before pulling out a thunderous punch for the win. I'll go with the tried and tested guy, which, ironically, is NOT the WBC champion.
In a fair world he's 2-0 over Tua.. Has an incredible fight with Sanders that he won, KO'd ATG Lewis. Ought to have a win over Toney as well. Then has solid scalps over Meehan and Barrett. It's insane to me that anyone if their right mind would confidently pick Wilder to win this, or even give him anything better than a punchers chance. Which obviously any big punching HW had against Rahman.
It was quite fashionable a while back to write him off as a glass chinned puncher who got lucky. I think it's pretty unfair.
Yeah. It's all good fun to poke fun at his glass chin from time to time.. But at the end of the day he was a massive overachiever who made the most of a late start.
