hasim rahman vs michael grant dec 3rd...........WHO WINS??

I live like, 20 mins from Rochester...

Who else is on the card, maybe i might have a peak if im off from work..

 

Damn right mate. I am all over fights with old heavies. The thread title is misleading. These two are not fighting each other, they are just on the same card. Can't wait to see who their opponents are. Hopefully not bums that are TOO bad. But bums they will be methinks.

 

They are not going to fight each other, Rahman is on the main event while Grant is on the co-feature.

 

To show you how crazy I am, I might go visit a girlfriend of mine who lives in Rochester that week and go to see those fights. I'm playing with fire, because the last time I did that, I saw the Rahman/Sykes fight, and that was a HORRIBLE performance. The undercard was good that night, though, with a good scrap between Huera and Kid Diamond, so it wasn't a total loss.

I agree, Charles, the opponents will probably be bums, but maybe they'll surprise us with decent matchups.

 

Doubtful, but only time will tell. And yes, the fight between Sykes and Rahman wasn't that good. But that Diamond-Huera fight as you said was a pretty decent little scrap.:bbb:good

Everyone in the crowd was booing that Huerta/Diamond decision. No way Diamond won that one. He got dropped twice, although I think one of the KD's was incorrectly ruled a slip by the ref.

If the opponents are not decent, I hope that Grant and Rahman show up in good shape and put on good performances.

 

Shot fighter vs. shot fighter scenarios are always intriguing. Rahman is more shot imo yet he takes this by KO/TKO because his glass jaw is made of stronger glass than Grant's glass jaw.

 

Yeah,I mean I don't know why people are whining.It's a good match-up.

I respect both guys and like you say Rahman had his chance against Wlad but that was on short term.
Grant is huge like you say but he will never win the title,maybe a belt.At this point who knows but the fight itself is gonna be good.
This fight would have been great in 2000 or so.

 

I was in Toccos gym in may, Rahman was training his kid in one room , while McCall and his son were in the back room working out alongside Mike Hunter Jr... in the room with the free bags , Mike Grant was just moving around but looked like he was in slow motion.. Rahman had to use sticks to walk tho , he is having real problems with his hips... he looked like an old man..

 

better question is who cares?

 

Wow. That's too bad about Rahman. I hope it was just temporary.

It would be cool if down the line Rahman's kid and McCall's kid both got really good and met in a high profile fight. The prefight hype could include the two of them arguing about whose Dad did the best job KO'ing Lennox Lewis.

Actually it was announced on the site iwth news on fights that they are indeed gonna fight eachother in december.
