Hasim Rahman vs prime Sonny Liston

Liston really just to busy for Rahman. Gonna catch him sooner rather than later

 

Liston by brutal career altering KO

 

Maskaev for whatever reason seemed to have Rahman's number but apart from that Rahman has some impressive displays on his CV.

He KO'ed Lewis, beat the very dangerous Sanders in a war, and should've got the decision over Tua, that's 3 impressive feats over notable names.

I think Rahman has a good jab like Liston and a potent right hand like Liston remember Rahman had 41 stoppages in 51 wins.

All in all I think it would be a decent technical fight and maybe a bit more competitive than some would believe. But i think Liston's extra class would get him the stoppage round about the 7th or 8th round.

 

Rahman, IMO, is not one of the 50 greatest heavyweights who ever lived.

Absolute prime Liston is, again IMO, one of the 10 greatest heavyweights who ever lived.

It's sheer math, folks ...
