Briggs is vastly inferior to Seldon in every category except power and heart. (in which he is vastly superior)
Up until that time, it was one of the most usinspired heavyweight title fights until the Chris Byrd - TOS fight.
spinks is one the worst recent lineal, and should never have been fighting for the hw title. he was just an excuse for ali to hold onto the title another year when he was clearly unwell. ali screwed himself up post frazier 3.
Rahman was clearly one of the worst lineal champions but he wasn't the worst. Leon Spinks was worse for one. Basically a novice cruiser who won it off a shot and under prepared Ali only to lose the rematch and then lose to a host of mediocre fighters and became a journeymen at the end of his career. Rahman was bigger, seen a a genuine contender even if a not a top one. Proved he was at least competitive at world class with performances against Lewis, Tua, Sanders etc. He was fighting for world titles up to his penultimate fight and has a far superior resume to Spinks. If you include title holders then there are plenty of worse champions. Seldon, Hide, Bentt, Sanders, Damiani, Briggs, Tubbs, etc.
that crash sucked. lost all my posts which were full of witty, hard hitting ****ysis. and my feuding with blackdeath, what a ******** he was
I actually hadn't read the OP and didn't realize Undisputed was part of the criteria. That makes a lot more sense then, because neither Rahman nor Seldon belongs near the very bottom of a list of just heavyweight belt holders period.
