"This is the last time I'll answer questions on this", he said. N'Dam mentioned that he was only given 3 weeks to prepare for the Quillin fight.

On Lemieux: "I will prove to the whole world you're not world champ material, every time you had a chance to become mandatory challenger you messed up."

Lemieux's response: "I earned this opportunity. He doesn't know who he's fighting and that's an advantage for me. I've studied him a lot, I know his strengths and weaknesses just like I know mine."

I'm really pumped for this fight now. Will N'Dam's chin hold up to outbox Lemieux? Will Lemieux gas? All intriguing questions that should be answered in short order.

I'm the biggest (and original: www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=174475) HNN fan on here, but the whole 3 weeks excuse is pretty Cotto-esque lame diva nonsense tbh.

HNN is always in shape, year round, a gym rat and phenomenal athlete, physically in his absolute prime no more or less now than he was versus Quillin.

3 weeks is perfectly adequate prep for a world title bout for athletes of HNN's caliber, maybe a week shy of ideal give or take, but hardly "short notice".

The only poster on this forum on the HNN train before me was a Euro named yal, very tuned into the Euro middleweight prospect scene back in 2007/08, who also was the first to herald Pirog & Golovkin on here. :D

    Not to gloat or nuttin'.

Just saying, my criticisms of HNN obviously don't come from a place of hate. Dude is among my favorite active fighters...but this statement about "3 weeks" is some bitch ass soft-as-baby-shit nonsense. (and the same applies to Cotto's recent cherry picking in his lineal title defense, and the demands and whining versus Martinez, even though Cotto is still among my faves as well)

    Same here. :D

Lemieux was starting to lose snap in his punches past the 6th/7th against Rosado, his stamina has improved but it's far from stellar... very intriguing indeed. N'Dam is very confident he can beat Lemieux as he thinks he's beaten bigger punchers than David.

The crowd will go absolutely nuts when David lands big, should be a great atmosphere at the Bell Centre.

BTW, on the off chance that Geale beats Cotto on points, I see Canelo-Lemieux as a real possibility for Sep 2015 or May 2016 depending on when Canelo wants to make the move to MW official... GBP in-house fight, very fan friendly.

What about last year's interview where he mentioned dental surgery? He said his jaw couldn't take Quillin's heaviest punches because he had had surgery sometime before the fight and had not fully recovered. It was a BScene article, I could try to find it.

It's like he's not over it. :huh

...but yeah, very athletic and savvy, has potential to box circles around Lemieux all night.

Lemieux never played hockey, Uncle. He was that kid fighting in the school yard, not understanding why they all went down on the first punch. Then the gym teacher saw that and got him in the gym. True story.

Haha if Lemieux was actually a hockey player (which he is not, he dedicated is life to boxing actually) he would probably not have stamina issues...

Hm... yeah, I was wondering about that. I heard about it too, the dental surgery thing.

That's fine, he can settle for hitting the ribcage in the first couple of rounds...

...after that, it's T-Rex time. Angry T-Rex.

If Lemieux wins, he's gotta go with David Jurassic Park Lemieux.

Maybe three weeks is enough to prepare himself physically because as you say, he's in the gym year round but preparing himself boxing wise for a specific opponent may not be.

Probably just a bunch of baloney though.

Not yet. Probably some BS channel like WealthTV...

Unfortunately for us Canadians it'll be PPV; that's how Lemieux's purse is getting topped up to 300K from the 51K purse split.

Yeah the winner will have quite a few possibilities. Far more possibilities for Lemiuex if he wins however, Quebec being the boxing hub it has become.
