I'll take 1 and 3 in combination as the most likely.

And for the thread, I've always claimed that Hatton is a great fighter, I stuck by it during times where he was being slagged at a ridiculous level. The Hatton hate is stupid.

Number 3 sounds like one of my old high school teachers when he finally decided to say something nice to me for a change.

Why can there be no middle-ground. Hatton is an exciting fighter who did a number on a name opponent. But remember that's what JLC is at this point in his career - an opponent. It's hard to critcise Ricky's fight, but fans who claim that after two years fighting at the top means he has moved beyond the need for a title is ridiculous. I know there is a popular saying nowadays about the fighter making the title, not the other way round, but that's just advocating the hand-picking of opponents. A champion wins the title and defends it against whoever he has to - he has someone to answer to. It should be the fights that matter to the fight fans not p4p, hof and ring rankings.

Everyone has their fave fighters, ie no offense but I've only seen you post on Hatton boxing threads outside of the Lounge. I think Expert posts in the Classic section unless I'm mistaken although I could be wrong.

I think Hamed is a great fighter and 1 of the best of the 90s, I rank him above Tyszu in greatness. Does that make me a fanboy?

I wasn't talking to you and I highly rate Hamed. I post on far more than just Hatton but to be honest I rarely post on boxing here anymore because there are so many idiots talking **** constantly.

I posted about Peter Buckley a while back when someone was dismissing the work put in by dedicated pros like him who are the foundation of boxing. I have posted a lot in the past about numerous fighters but as I said this is less and less due to all the nonsense.

I used to post on the classic section but again that is usually split into two extreme camps, the ones who rate Jim Jeffries above Lennox Lewis and who have people like John Sullivan in their top ten of all time and the guys who think that nobody from before 1980 would ever stand a chance against a modern era fighter.

I don't think you are a fanboy at all, I was talking to "Expert" who spent about a week starting Hamed threads saying Hamed would KO PBF, was Hamed the greatest ever, Hamed would be too fast for Roy Jones Junior etc ...and other stupid threads.

His new trick is starting repeated anti Hatton threads.

    He is a moron.

JLC was hardly an opponent he had beaten the reigning Lightweight Champion (the number 1) and was unbeaten against moderate opposition since- that doesn't make him an opponent. You kind of contradict yourself too when you say that Hatton should be a titlist and answer to the govening body but should fight against guys the fans feel he should fight. Those two things rarely equate.

I think hes a young kid that doesn't really know boxing but has his faves. I remember when I was 13 I thought Benn and Eubank could beat Lennox  . I remember as a 17yo having college mates tell me Hamed would knock out all the HW division if he was ALLOWED to fight HWs  Boxing fans make boxers into SuperHeros when in reality they have strengths and weaknesses like all fighters/people

Logic tends to make little change on boxing forums, especially to morons, as we'll all have our heros. And few ever seem objective and unbiased when discussing boxing.

Arguing with people about boxing on forums becomes very addictive after a while. The classic section can be quite interesting aside from the bull**** to read about interesting boxing history/stories. But the lounge is certainly a refreshing a change reading about people like IRFSKO having worse girl problems than the rest of us

I'm not sure where I've said that he should be fighting the guys the fans feel he should fight. As for 'unbeaten against moderate opposition' well that isn't even worthy of a response.

The sentance that says 'It should be the fights that matter to the fans, not p4p etc...' is a somewhat unrelated reference to the currently disproportionate ammount of respect the p4p and ring rankings get, when in essence thay are merely someone's opinions. Fans should care about the actual fights not these rankings so much.

    I'm confusing myself now.
