I wouldn't call his fights with Frazier, Liston, Foreman, and Lyle etc... boring, would you?

He had some good ones -- so did Wlad. He had some boring ones as well. When I get my internet speed back up, I'll post you some ultra-boring Ali fights from youtube.

*The foreman fight was ****in' borin' up until the last couple rounds. I've only seen one of the Norton fights and that was painful to watch.

Every fighter, exciting or not, had some boring fights in their career. Even Tyson had a few, and he was most enertaining fighter of his generation. I think you have to look at their career as a whole, where I feel Wlad was exciting before he was brutally knocked out by Sanders 6 years ago. He's now a boring fighter for the most, especially compared to what he used to be.

Ali fights were pretty boring from around 1976 onwards yes.

Why don't you post his wins against ATG fighters like Patterson (x2) Liston (x2) Foreman, Frazier etc instead, and then post WALDOS wins against ATG's, just to put things into perspective?

Why drag Ali into the argument anyway, that's what I don't understand :huh Why not pick on guys that WALDO can actually be compared with?

I haven't seen the Jimmy Young fight since I was a kid, but I remember Ali not doing much of anything but holding and running. Could be wrong 'cos it was so long ago.. but I think I'm rioght.

Just because Ali got his ass kicked more, punched more, doesn't mean he is more exciting than another fighter....

Klitschko walks out of his fights relatively unSCATHED, and his opponent looks like he was smashed by a freight truck.... SO BOOORRRRRINGGGGGGGG!!!!!

It's the Steward influence....Lewis was never accused of being boring until Steward got hold of him. There's nothing wrong with playing to your strengths which is obviously what WALDO is doing right now, Lewis did it too in certain fights. The difference was that Lewis had a killer instinct and when he knew the opponent had a certain weakness he went for them like an animal. WALDO doesn't seem to do that, even against guys that obviously have nothing to offer in the way of offense, like Chagaev.

I beg to differ. The build up to most of those fights were unreal, I dont think Wlad has yet to have a fight were practically the whole world was watching or at least were dying to know who won.

My dad was a huge Ali fan when he was a kid, he had old newspapers with Ali on the very front after he won a match, to where the majority of the paper talked about the fight and Ali himself. Yesterday I was reading the sports section, and found a very small paragraph talking about the Klitschko fight. When Ali fought, the world paid attention. When Wlad fights, only Germany gets excited.

Americans just don't want to accept that a non black, non American is king of the HW's.

    Sad but true.

Ali gets his fair share of negative stuff but the truth is he was, in most peoples opinion the best HW that ever lived and like it or not WALDO is nowhere near that level, and never will be.

The only boring Ali fights you'll find will be ones at the tail end of his career when it was obvious to all and sundry that his health was declining.
