Head to head, I just can't see Ali being able to deal with Wlad.

100% serious, Chagaev was a very average fighter, with very average power, and thalidomide arms. The perfect opponent for WALDO to look good against.

He went 12 rounds with Matt Skelton for christs sake :rofl Skelton was recently KO'd by a ****ing taxi driver :rofl

i get what you're saying but the ali argument is pretty thin. I've seen a shiton of ali's available fights (EARLY ones are pretty rare) and he was damn exciting. It wasn't until he got old as ****, or fought unwilling opponents like Young, that he became dull. The hand behind the neck and lack of infighting were annoying and boring yes but his fights as a whole were quite good and some (frazier 3) were phenomenal. I'm a Klitschko fan and think their fights get a bad rap but taking down ali will win no fans and does nothing for your argument.

Yep, this kind of crap happens after every WALDO win.

I'm out of this thread, now I know the kind of moron I'm dealing with.

sad but true. now, chagaev was MADE to look useless by Wlad's style and advantages but still, he didn't offer much and fighters like Brewster at least put up an effort. Ruslan was pathetic.

Cotto has never been in a boring fight, nor has Adamek.

Klitschko has a killer instinct but it is extremely patient. It's not like Tyson or Trinidad unleashing a rapid fury of vicious bombs. WK does it his own way, very carefully but very violent and malicious at the same time. Look at the damage the blows are doing - it's ruining careers - Brock, Austin, Castillo, Byrd, Peter are all finished. Klitschkos' punches though methodical and cautiously delivered carry career killing force.

    Hey, just being honest.

Ali was a small HW that fought in an era where guys fell for the rope-a-dope and the refs allowed him to grab around the back of the neck and hold heads down. He was also allowed to have the ropes loosened so he could lay back and get mindlessly flailed at. You think Wlad would fall for that?

Wlad would never chase Ali; Ali would never get inside. Sure, it might be a boring fight, but it'd be lopsided in Wlad's favour.

I agree, when did Steward start training Lewis 95-96? His fight with Mercer was exciting, the Briggs fight was good in 98, he destroyed Golota, made quick work of Grant in 2000, the Vitali fight was amazing.

I dont know, Lewis had a **** load of more exciting fights than Wlad. The only ones I found exciting were the ones he lost. The guy has nobody good to fight, and on top of that when fighters like TOS, Sanders, Peter, and Brewster all had him down and made him panic, Wlad never had the balls to go to war with them. Lewis on the other hand, went to war with all these big hitters and took almost all their best shots of Briggs, Mercer, Marovic, Bruno, Morrison, Ruddick, and Golota, and guess who was left standing? Lennox "The Lion" Lewis. Wlad feels the wind from a punch of a heavy hitter, and goes into one of his famous panic attacks.

i'm pretty sure if brewster, and sanders found away.....I'm sure one of the more intelligent boxers that ever lived, ali, would find away to beat wlad and vitali....

How does Ali beat Kltischko? Explain how you see Ali achieving this. You think Klitschko would just stand there like a tree and let Ali pound away? Klitschko would be the one in control of the range, with the power and authority to force Ali to fight his way inside. Just hard to see ALi being able to do anything, not at 6- 21/2 218. Just too small. Now if Ali was 6-6 240, it's an incredible clash of styles.

But ALi is just too small and lacks the power and strength to bother Klitschko and would end up being dominated and controlled quite easily. But again, if Ali has the equal size, it's a different fight.

in ring age yeah, give or take, old as ****. Hopkins at 43=Ali at 43? Dude, the wars he was in, the layoff all that contributed to his RING age. He was a dinosaur for the third norton fight and it only went downhill

I see it going the same way as his fight with Ernie Terrell, with the movement from the Folley fight
