Agreed - I thought that even when the fight was first proposed as a negotiating ploy.

Granted, it will likely be just as boring, but I don't think it will be as one-sided.

People on this forum essentially have zero commercial sense..they think showtime is an endless ATM. Alexander has 0% chance of happening..showtime lost money on gurerrero, theyll lose more on this fight.

Yep they are pretty much forced to do Alvarez next or bust. It has to happen to get the Showtime Mayweather Franchise back on track. Alexander would be financial disaster.

PBF vs Devon or Bradley would still be a better fight than watching him 12-0 Caneslow Alvarez.

Alexander is nothing like Khan. Alexander is a counter puncher himself, so it would interesting to see how he fares against Mayweather. It will probably be a repeat of Mayweather Marquez but who knows Alexander has quicker hands than Marquez.

    Hoping for Alvarez, expecting Khan.

I would love to watch both fights though.

I like Alvarez and Alexander as fighters but people arguing against an Alexander bout are crazy between 140-154 Alexander and Bradley have the best resumes without question both Alvarez and Alexander will lose to Mayweather so it doesn't matter what order they fight in but Mayweather-Alexander is more then likely a better more competitive fight than Mayweather-Alvarez with his stamina issues the only real argument for Alvarez being more deserving is his 170 ring weight

I'm probably in the minority but I actually don't despise that fight. Alexander isn't some vicious come forward knock you out fighter, but what he is is slick, defensive minded with great hand speed. I don't think he beats floyd (obviously) but I think he can win some rounds and make it a little bit competitive

Mayweather vs Alexander is probably the worst fight Floyd could possibly be involved in. Does he really like getting booed that much? What a ****ing borefest.

True but resume doesn't matter unless its a convenient arguing point.

No way i'm watching this if it gets made, made that mistake with the RG fight.

It will be boring, running and holding probably from both players.
