Just a quick point about this site. I love it, its great, only real site for good Boxing discussion, but seriously thinking about jacking it in. I dont understand why everyone one here is a hater!! Seriously, I cannot work it out whether its a yank/Euro/Brit thing, but every time a decent post is made (usually about Calzaghe/Hatton or Haye) it descends into complete hatred. Is it the same for everyone, or is this just paranoia?!
your nationalistic bias seeps through every post you make. You have never told me where you're from but I knew from the first post you ever made that you were a Brit. alot of hating is a reaction to excessive nuthugging. and alot of nuthugging is a reaction to excessive hating. Its a chicken/egg thing.
There are some really good posters on here who know there **** and there is some trolls on here. You're bound to get them but it is a pain in the arse.
British boxers get little to no respect in the general forum. Its a bit annoying but thats the way I guess. At least we arent all making arses of ourselves by trying to claim the top american boxers are ****.
Its merely semantics; If A defends and supports a fighter that B doesnt like or respect...he's a 'nuthugger'.And vice versa. If A criticises a fighter B likes and admires...he's a 'hater'.And vice versa. Its an easy way of attempting to attack and downgrade somebody, and his opinion, who disagrees with you.
Probably because British boxing is on a high at the moment whilst it's not such a good time for up and coming American fighters. All healthy debate though, that's what a forum is all about. There are some who take it all way too seriously but that's part and parcel.
Haha! Are you serious? Well let me enlighten you friend. I am Jordan Frazier, a 24 year old American, currently living in the Philippines. Can you tell me what my numbers will be this week please? Your mind reading skills are second to none. This content is protected
The fact I Iived in cardiff and the UK in general for 5 years whilst studying sports sciences probably explains why I am standing up for the Brits, not just them but for Europeans in general. I cannot undertsand why there is so much biased atitudes toward non-US fighers, when quite clearly, Boxing is not happening stateside! Seems like the last legs of a disgruntled bunch, who know that the biggest fights of 2009 are abroad, bar the Pac/hatton fight which should clearly be staged in the UK.
You need to stick around for a while, then you will start to relax and realize that you can't stop idiots being idiots, haters being haters, trolls being trolls etc, you just have to get on with, you will eventually discover who the regular, decent, level headed posters are. I must admit, some of the nuthuggery of the British fans is exceptionally high (Calzaghe seems to attract certain types - although I'm obviously not saying all Calzaghe fans are nuthuggers), but also by far the most trolls and haters on ESB are American.
:good This is the insight people get when they travel and visit other countrys! I think it would be good for for some americans (inhere) to see that there is a world outside US, a very large world indeed! Europeans know more about USA, than americans know about Europe.. it would be nice if it could change a bit! But ofcourse we can only blame the media for that!
