Fair play to him on his victory, well done from me! A lot has been said over the last week, this and that, but i think a rematch should be made soon .But both fighters gave entertainment on the nightand as much as i would lke to dispute the outcome,i cant . on the night the better fighter won.
appleby took unneccessary shots moving forward all the time, and was'nt at his sharpest tonight, and may have taken a step back with the atmosphere, he should have went a walk and used the ring more (although it was the smallest ring since tom thumbs shite pipe) but, lyndsay on the other hand fought well, and congratulations to him, and the left that landed on applebys chin was a peach. rematch would be good to see, but i think hayemaker might think its too risky.
IMO the stoppage was early should have been giving benefit o doubt but probs to Lindsey and i hope to see a rematch
Lindsay surprised me with the amount of power he was putting in on those shots thought he was going to punch himself out but Appleby couldn't cover it up
Brilliant performance by Lindsay, what an atmosphere aswell. http://www.irishboxingblog.com/2009/04/lyndsay-stops-appleby-in-six.html
As mentioned somewhere before, Appleby has real problems boxing on the retreat, and so, i saw no problems with him moving forwards.
appleby need to step back for a while, he moved up to soon. theres allot of good domestic featherweights and none of them our ready for lindsay
