Hatton’s demise was inevitable

I’ve been saying this would happen all along. I’m not bragging, this is perhaps one of the few times my intuition has led me in the right direction, but he was never that good. He was overrated on the back of his mauling of Tszyu, and he’s been riding a wave of hype ever since. The signs were always there.- Against Collazo, against Mayweather, Against Lazcano, every time he gets into the ring he shows how easy he is to hit. But Ricky always had a million excuses ready – “didn’t have enough preparation time”, “Refereeing”, “chest infections”, bla bla bla, and because there was a Hatton industry, people, intelligent people, ate it up. Anyone who saw Mallinaggi landing on Hatton with such ease should have been able to realise that when he fights someone who has power and speed he will meet his end. It’s amazing he got as far as he did. His hype survived because he ruled light welter when it was weak and fought very few boxer - punchers. He belongs far, far down the list of all time 140 pounders.

This is taking nothing away from Pacquiao. I believe he will be top ten all time P4P.

I think everybody underrated PAC's power at 140. If we knew he could bang like that at this weight, we would never have even gave Hatton a chance. Unbelievable.

I couldn't make a decision, but never expected Pac to stop Hatton in the second round! Void will put on his running shoes and call out Christy Martin for huge money.
