bit gutted that the cotto fight won't happen. wanted to see that one since cotto came on the scene. nevermind. :yep
as funny as that would be to see and as glad as I would be to see the Hatton hype train finally crash and burn, we have a better chance of seeing Mayweather fight a bear
A win over Pac would be a great way to realistically end a very good career but I don't see it making Hatton a 'great' 140 lber. A loss on the otherhand would really look bad on Hattons resume....
To be honest, a last two fights against live opponents: The no1 contender at JW, Pauli, and p4p no 1 Pac, are a lot more credible than 43 year old Popkins and a totally and utterly shot Jones! Even Calzaghe himself is on record saying Jones was more then totally shot and wouldn't fight him now; that was a couple of years ago. Hatton has two fights left and with those he's fighting the no1 contender at his weight, and the p4p NO1 in the world after that. What more do you want from the guy; I don't understand your hate.
DLH is 5ft 10 to Hattons 5ft 6 and bit. He's a far bigger size mismatch then Pac, Hatton; who measure up with similar stats. DLHs stock is nothing what it was anyway... Hatton fought a prime p4p no1, ATG, HOF, a bigger guy, in Floyd just a fight ago and is now going out on these two fights; big fights! Some people just hate for hates sake.
guys, with that chin of Hattons, definitely don't discount a Paulie KO win in November. It doesn't take much to have Hatton all over the place. 'you know...if I win that that'll be 8 world titles and the most popular man in the world ever....not bad for little old me from a council estate in Stockport, you know..........'
I don't agree with a fighter retiring after his 1st loss, that would have been the worst thing Hatton could have done. I think 2 more fights sounds about right, he appears on the decline, I think Malignaggi should be a pretty straightforward win for him and then one last tough fight to end it all and he has good chance of beating both those guys IMO.
There wasn't a younger Zoo in 2005, thats the point he was making. Cotto was also far from the finished article back then as well. As for Witter...nah I won't bother....
