A lot of people think Hatton held his own in the early rds vs PBF.

    This is completely wrong.

He was getting hit with straight rights the whole time, but his forward momentum gave the impression he was stalking PBF, thus he was awarded a few early rds.

The story will repeat saturday, only this time, Manny won't be as economical with his output, and his punches will have more snap.

Hatton's hands by his waist style, take 2 to land 1 attitude suits perfectly Manny's busy and accurate punching; his in & out footwork won't be a problem as Manny can time very well his shots and has excellent handspeed & balance.

Ricky will lose confidence very early as he will be unable to avoid Pac's flurries ( PBF repeat)

It will lead to a much more crushing defeat than vs PBF.

Pac anywhere between 5 and 9 , possibly by cuts TKO.

I think it will last longer because pbf may hit harder but i agree with your post.

Watch rounds 1-5 and post again.

Hatton wasn't winning by any means, but the rounds were hardly one-sided, by any means.

    From then on, of course......

Like the TS said, it looked close because of Hatton going forward and hitting air (or gloves). PBF was outlanding from the first round. No close at all to me.

I must say that i tought it was close the first time i saw it (live).

This fight will be closer and more hard-fought than PBF v Hatton, though it will also end with Ricky being stopped IMO.

This fight will be more competitive than the floyd fight. The beating floyd gave hatton, he would have given to manny because floyd on the night was top notch. I think pac fans just think pac his invicable because of the beating he gave oscar but when hatton hits him which he will pac will feel the difference between a fully fledged 140 rather than a ghost like impression of oscar.

that fight with floyd was almost needed for hatton to change hes ways. He just tried to bulldoze floyd. No real method to the madness. He bulldozed tszyu and from then that was hes thing. I think he'll be much smarter vs manny but obviously still come forward non stop action. At least a bit more head movement.

This is such a different fight stylistically. Floyd is a sharp shooter who catches his opponents coming in. Guys like Hatton, Corrales, were tailor made for his style to catch a beating. Pac is a full speed ahead offensive fighter. That in my opinion favors Hatton more from taking a beating, unless he cant deal with Pacs speed.

    My point exactly.
Go back and rewatch the first rd.
I counted 6 clear straight rights landed flush by PBF, against a single clean left landed by Hatton.

Ricky was getting timed and picked apart in his rushes since the very first bell. By pure bravado, he even seemed enjoying getting tagged .

Lederman gave that rd to Ricky for going forward and getting hit in the face.

    My scorecard was.....

    1. Even
    2. Hatton
    3. Mayweather
    4. Mayweather
    5. Hatton

The Hatton rounds were close... Floyd's were clear.

    6. Mayweather
    7. Mayweather
    8. Mayweather 10-8
    9. Mayweather

Lederman gave Hatton the 6th.... not sure what he was watching!

PBF is much better than Pacman by a thousand times..... lol

I sincerely believe that Pacman and Roach are going to have a rude wake up call on May 2nd.

I have Hatton over Pacman via Stoppage 7rd.

In order for Pacman to knock out Hatton he will have to engage with him and once those body punches start to land, it will lead to Pacman dropping his hands and will produce a Ko by Hatton.

Hatton is bigger, just as fast, more powerful and now has more dicipline with Floyd Sr.
