well, this fight is at welter.......and mayweather has proven himself at welter and even at jr. middleweight.

and, no offense, collazo is no mayweather.

and after reviewing the fight hatton vs collazo fight, hatton may as well be 0-1 at welter.

now alot of people think that mayweather is just the pure boxer in this and hatton the puncher.

but isnt it possible that hatton will be hurt alot more by mayweathers punches than people generally think???

Hatton will weigh more than Floyd fight night. HE will also have had the benefit of his longest training camp and come in at his favorite weight maybe a few pounds over with the extra muscle he has.

Weight is not an issue in this fight. Size on the other hand..

I remember when I met Collazo at a party in NYC and he mentioned Hatton is a strong dude but he was easy to hit and he's mad at himself for not taking him out a round earlier. At the time I thought it was sour grapes but I'm sure there was some truth as well.

Hatton is **** against southpaws, never looks comfortable. Magee was really bad as well.

i dont think "the longest training camp" will aid hatton.

he always comes in in tip top shape. if he trains harder than say for the kostya tszyu fight he will run danger of being overtrained imo.

Mayweather has a lot more power than people give him credit for. No, he's not going to knock hatton out with one punch - Hatton walked through Zoo's punches all night long, but he can wear him down with jabs to the body, and he was able to back DLH up with surprising power, but it's his accuracy that is the main problem for Hatton. Hatton could end up hitting Mayweather with some good shots, but how many will be clean? Mayweather, of course, has pinpoint accuracy, and that can be very damaging, combined with his superior reach.

I can really see Mayweather jabbing to the body a lot, as Hatton has shown that he can be hurt and slowed down with body punches. I think Hatton can walk through anything that Floyd throws to his head, but it's going to be a lot harder if he's having to come through jabs to the body, which can work both offensively AND defensively.

I only mentioned it because he had to change his training 5 weeks from fight night when he got Collazo fight so his preperation wasnt great. It does make a difference when you have to lose 35 pounds having that bit longer.

what made me wonder was that after the collazo fight hatton admitted in a ring magazine interview that collazo hurt him pretty bad.

and i dont think the rather light hitting collazo hits harder than mayweather.

so maybe hatton will have a tougher time getting close without getting hurt than alot of people think.

i dont think that preperation had anything to do with him looking bad vs collazo.
he wasnt tired, he wasnt out of shape. he looked as usual.

i think it was the class and talent of collazo that kinda showed him his limitations.
