I agree with you, word for word. and it's usually done in the 3rd person. He has the nerve to criticise Mayweather for being boring and repetitive.:-(

'if you don't see Wicky 'Atton in the right you'll find him in the pub won't you'.

    :-((

Yeah even the cab ride to the Hotel said something like "Free ride to the local pub..." or something to the effect, clearly hes putting on this "average guy" act.

I heard it once I heard it twice....but damn he should listen to his own advice to Mayweather "Change the record"

Since when is Ricky Hatton "trying" to be normal and down to earth? That's what he is -- he doesn't have to try to be anything, unlike Floyd who boasts about himself every two sentences.

The only reason 24/7 keeps using it is Mayweathers' ridiculous behavior.

Calzaghe seems like the more genuine guy to me than Hatton, if not quite as "for the people." I'm sure there's a part of Ricky that enjoys his exalted status, and no one can be unaffected by that much adoration. It's fine, he just needs to stop with all hammy nonsense.

But you also know a lot of that is just TV, as is the case with Mayweather.

you don't get it. Mosley acts himself and doesn't constantly talk about himself.
Hatton is constantly telling us and talking about himself. He sounds a right muppet.

Hatton seems pretty real . . . you dont eat peas and drink genus as an "act".

Floyd's persona is obviously an act.

Precisely. That line he came out with about his mates would give him a right rollocking if he started throwing £50 notes around....yeah of course they would Ricky, of course they would :patsch

Maybe he is being told to play that as often as possible.

Floyd is doing his villain thing for promotion. Ricky has to play to the contrast image. Its only normal.

That's just his lifestyle, if you don't like the show, you don't have to watch it

Yes man, thats what im talking about

You never see Miguel Cotto say anything about himself, he just says that he wants to fight, and thats it. Same goes for Mosley.

Both Mayweather and Hatton are seeking attention from the public, they want to be outthere, one is lifestyle so flashy and other one is the guys guy with guiness and darts in his hand
