Hatton and Floyd both have one loss.

Difference is, Hatton got his ass kicked up and down the ring and was almost knocked out, Floyd had a bad fight with a hurt shoulder and came back and dominated Castillo.

well if you look at it this way and take both as losses, Castillo is a far better fighter than Collazo.

Hattons gift decision is more of an embarrassment than PBF's. Plus PBF took the rematch and won while Hatton jumped back down in weight because he was then all of a sudden too small for 147 where as before we always heard about how he was too large for 140.

 

Both won and are still undefeated - Mayweather edged JLC even though judges didn't give so much emphasis on Castillo's body punches compared with Mayweather's jabs. I had the fight much closer but it would be unfair to give it to Castillo. Hatton could have disposed of Collazo but let him get into the contest and counter him slick but neither that nor the last 1:30 s of the fight would have reverted a win that was evident from the get-go.

Lucky punch and quite possile just a slip. Hatton doesnt score that, he loses.

 

I remember that the judges scores were close but not that close. But yes, the 10-8 score in round one helped but it was no lucky punch, look at how Hatton jumps in right on top of his opponent and times him perfectly - what a start! Can happen again or can't it really? Ricky says there's a method in his "madness"...

 

What I mean is, it wasnt the punch that fell Collazo so much as him backpeddling and getting more a push in the face. Hatton got round 11 which was crucial, and lucked out in round twelve against what could have been ruled a knockdown.

Collazo looked ready to go another 5 after the fight, Hatton was visibly finished.

 

Both fights, Mayweater-Castillo I and Hatton-Collazo, were close.
