Still think you're muddling the issue there onourway. Hatton's sheer determination to foul was the problem. It wasn't little rabbit punches here and there. They were interspersed between frequent holding which he used as a defensive mechanism.

    Like Andre Ward?

(Lennox Lewis was a great example, he was a right dirty ****er when he needed to be and more power to him)

Andre looks slick doing it ;)

Hatton was a dirty ****er all the ****ing time though. Thats my problem. Every fight was punctuated by incessant holding. Let's hold so we don't have to reset where I take loads of punches.

    :lol::lol: at this thread.

Even Lennox Lewis had his detractors. Back in the day when LL dominated, the questions were the same: Is this the worst Heavyweight era ever?

Increasingly, we talk of LL like some kind of Heavyweight God.

But our fighters of today/2008 are ridiculed and bashed unceremoniously.

I was never a fan of Hatton... In fact I was never excited about any of his fights.

But the lad did well. Over-achieved given his genetics. For that, he should be applauded.

Hatton just didnt lose to Pac though - he got destroyed.

He done ok against Floyd - but the ending was quite dramatic where he completed folded - like a little toy solider falling over.

    Firmly put in his place.

But - Hattons career - is alot of nonsense to be honest - all that WBU gravy train.

Done well for his bank balance though.

Hatton had a real life and death struggle with Jon Thaxton - so while he was good - he werent anything special.

Very good body puncher though - and a tough little bigger.

Glad the way he was knocked cold - at the end of his career - just to deflate that ego - and that wanker Floyd Snr - putting all kind of **** in his head as well - talking all the crap about being the pound for pound champion. Then Pacman put his ****ing lights out.

Thaxton was a solid operator anyway - so it was a good win.

Hatton would have lost to alot of other World Class fighters as well though - without them being ELITE POUND FOR POUND KINGS like Pac and Mayweather.

Like TFFP said - Miguel Cotto - just one world class fighter there superior to Hatton.

    Mosely,
    De La Hoya.
    etc
    etc

    All better than Hatton.
