Why can't he be in it for the legacy and the money? I think beating Pacquiao would be in both those criteria. I doubt you'll find many Hatton fans thinking he has much of a chance against De La Hoya, unless age has really caught up with him recently. There is no doubt that Hatton isn't a 147 lb fighter, just look at the height and reach disadvantages he would have against Margo, Williams or even Cotto. Hell, he's not even a big 147 lb fighter...
He needsto stay away from Oscar, Hatton is shorter than Pac, and has a short reach as well. Hatton could get seriously hurt, Oscar jest needs one good hook to win, if the fight happens I won't watch, I am tired of Oscars crap.
If Hatton was claiming that he is the main man at 147, and champ there then yes it is an issue - otherwise no. As it is he is just moving up for a big money fight, against an ATG, and much bigger guy then he is. Nobody is claiming that it would make him the best at 147. Pesonally I don't want to see Hatton v Oscar though and just with Oscar would go away.
Bottom line with Hatton at 147 is that he can't beat the physically larger guys in Williams and Margo while Berto is a "who is he?" fight. If he can get Oscar and take the millions then I don't blame him but otherwise his future is at 140 or against a smaller 147lber like Cotto.
If Hatton and his team were claimimg to be the boss of 147lb, there might have been a point to your ramblings! Dela Hoya and pacman stated it would be at 140....Oh and that Diane Vickers is an ugly troll!
