So by your reasoning since the refs are biased for Hatton in England, then the refs should be biased against Hatton in the USA?

He a took a big money win/win fight in which he had avenues of escape in the event that he lost.

Hatton has courage, i do not dispute that. And that fight against Lazcano was competitive, a little too much.
Hatton should of knocked out Juan. That ref made Hatton look bad I'm sorry mates. Not even the commentators could elaborate on the reasoning for all the yelling at Juan.
Juan had not fought in over a year! imagine if he didn't have that ring rust?

Bottom line... that was a bad ref, straight up. All should admit to that

I never said that Hatton was without courage, I said this his courage does not compare to the men listed in my previous post, which is does not. In facing Kessler Calzaghe took on a man who was the epitomy of DANGER, a fresh, young, undefeated, unified champion in his prime who, critically, was not appreciated by the heavily influential US boxing fraternity. Had Calzaghe lost his career would have been all but over, he could have easily ducked Kess and moved up to 175 there and then, but he didn't, he went for the glory. You'd never see Hatton take on an opponent that yielded such little reward for such great a risk.

 

For 43 fights Hatton has hit and held. And no one in Britian said a thing, despite it being ILLEGAL. Now when he comes over to America and is penalized for it, all of a sudden is cause of a bias ref?

Floyd's use of the elbows is like Hopkins or Holyfield... These guys were masters of doing **** on the other side of the ref, out of their view. Doesn't make it right, cause its still illegal, just makes them smart... and good.

Don't make it sound like Hopkins was putting on some fouling masterclass that fooled the ref. Hopkins was just plain holding and Cortez did nothing.
