I see many people saying Mosley should still be regarded a p4p fighter because he lost to floyd and is no shame in that because floyd is p4p n1 or n2, so Why doesnt Hatton get the same type of free pass?

Because...he...got knocked out when he lost, then got knocked out cold when he lost again? Because...Hatton was never as good as Mosley to begin with? Because...Mosley is a major guy with Golden Boy?

Mosley was made to look like an amateur, and would vs pac aswell and why was mosley so much better than hatton?

Mosley was on on a decent run culminating in a blow out of that mexican cheating ****face, which was impressive. Floyd beat Shane with ease and Mosley has dropped three or four spots. Another **** performance or loss and he's gone from the top ten for good. Shave was ranked 3 or 4 pound for pound.

Hatton got slapped side ways by Floyd, looked like **** against Lazcano, beat Paulie (so ****) and was then almost killed. To my knowledge Ricky was never higher than 7-8 pound for pound so it was easier to fall off the perch.

    Very different cases.

    Please!

Two wins (one in my opinion) over Oscar.

    KO'd Margarito

Convincing win over Collazzo (Who beat Hatton IMO)

    Two KO wins over Vargas

Head to head tears Hatton's ass out and you know it.

Do I need to go on?

Silly. Floyd and Pacquiao are completely different types of fighters. Because he looked bad against Floyd is no support for Pacquiao duplicating the domination. Secondly, an amateur rocks Floyd like that? Third, are you ****ing serious about what makes Mosley so much better than Hatton? These are vastly different classes of fighters, Talivar. Mosley was a champion in three weight classes-spanning four. He beat better fighters, accomplished more, did it for longer, I don't even know what way Hatton could be perceived as better. There's no question. Mosley is faster, stronger, harder to hurt, had a more impressive prime, is a better boxer, has a far bigger and better legacy...I don't even know...I mean...what...you can't...Okay, I'm out.

Here's how I see Hatton. He was never any good. He has no boxing skills, what he had/has was a rabid fan base. His fans flew across the world to watch him. What Hatton did was SELL tickets.

It was his ability to sell tickets that even got him the fights he had. unfortunately a boxers ability to sell sometimes out shines his actual boxing ability.

Hatton had no business in the ring with the likes Floyd or Manny. hence his devastating loses to them. The same losses he would have suffered against Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, even a plaster free Margarito.

I just like peoples opinions on stuff lol

Hey, your statement very much seemed to intimate that there was a question about whether or not Mosley and Hatton were in the same neighborhood. I'm not the only one that thought that.

Hatton was a good fighter , Zab Judah level (not skill wise , but competition) where as shane was sweet as sugar for a good few years , we also have to remember Hatton is 31 not old in boxing , but is clearly a spent force , where as Shane can still look after himself at 38.

I dont like the Hate on Hatton though , tell me another fighter who on his HBO debut would go up in weight (for the first time) , fight a southpaw, and beat the champion , yes it was close , but if you win the first seven rounds , with a knockdown then tire down the stretch , doesnt mean you lost the fight.

First bit of common sense I've heard on these forums in a long time, he never lost the Collazo fight. Also why r ppl picking Clottley, Marg and Cotto over Hatton, there all Welter weights and Hattons was always to small for Welter so of course they would beat him, Im pretty sure the Bute and Ward would beat him too maybe even the Klistckos if they were having a good nite............Honestly. Now a prime Hatton that demolished Tsyzu would have gave Cotto hell at LWW, cos Cotto hates pressure figthers and there havent been many better at it than Hatton. But when his punch resistance went his whole style was fuked

Hmmmm chill pill on this ****!

He was never any good but battered the **** out of Tszyu? I know it was Tzsyu's last fight and he had been inactive but you have to be "good" to beat him none the less. Tszy was number three pound for pound at the time.

Hatton deserved the shot at Floyd and to be honest gave him more trouble than Shane did by a long way. Don't get me wrong, Shane rips Hatton a new one any day of the week, but that's boxing for you.

Does Hatton lose to Clottey? I wouldn't bet on it.

Just Hatton being underrated with revisionism.

Unbeaten in his peak at 140

As for losing to Mosley,Cotto,Clottey and Margarito, at 140 in his prime? thats debateable, at 147 then he loses to Cotto and Mosley for sure, Clottey and Margo he could beat.
