If they fight each other they can do a lot for there career. If Paulie wins he can shut up his haters who hates him because he talks **** and the way he dress. If Paulie wins he set himself up to be the best Junior Welterweight and he can crack atleast top 15 lbs for lbs. I think if Hatton wins it set him up to be a hall of famer. I don't think Hatton is in the hall of fame yet with beating up to wash up former great fighters. I think this will be a great fight and this fight should happen.
Yep this is the one Id like to see Hatton take next. Much rather see it then some "battle of Britain" with Witter, which does little for his legacy and is of very little interest outside the UK. Let Witter make his own fame. Would like to see Hatton try and clear the division though. Whether he can or not I don't know.
Malignaggi next. definatly. I'd like to see Ricky end his career against Witter...having a retirement fight in his hometown...it's got to kinda suck a little having him becoming a staple in the American fight scene for you british fans because you guys are the ones who have supported him for so long.
But what happen if Hatton lose? Would the hate for Paulie stop or will the respect come? I dunno but these guys have a lot to gain in fighting each other. If I had to pick I would have to pick Paulie on a close UD. 115-113
like i said in another thread about this potential fight, it depends on how paulie fights. if he uses his brain and chooses to box hatton he can give him fits. if he gets all macho like he did v cotto and tries to impress the home fans and take it to hatton he gets smashed into the middle of next week.
will the american boxing public care about that fight though? hatton needs to keep his profile raised and ideally fight paulie first at MSG, get a win under his belt then do the home coming thing with witter at the MEN.
