Hatton apologises to supporters

    See the BBC site for a couple of pages on him.

    Firstly good to see he is OK

    Secondly,Gareth Williams had this to say about Lee Beards and Floyds roles within the team.....

    "Lee's a lot more involved with Ricky Hatton than Floyd Mayweather is," Williams added. "Floyd Mayweather was brought in for 12 weeks to do a job, and that's the end of it.
    "He's finished now and we don't know what's going to happen. Lee Beard's with Hatton Promotions 365 days a year, Floyd Mayweather's there for 12 weeks before a fight, and that's the difference.
    "Probably the best way to describe Floyd is that he's on board as a consultant. He doesn't control Ricky Hatton, he doesn't speak for Ricky Hatton, he speaks for Floyd Mayweather."

    Interesting.Floyd is less involved because Ricky wants it be that way IMO,not because that was his role from the start.Clearly a power struggle like someone here said.'You shoulda been listening to me from day one' isn't what someone would say if they knew they were only a consultant.

    If all this is to believed it sounds like an utter mess. What was the point of firing Graham if you were only going to bring in Floyd as a consultant? Does this mean Graham's real replacement was Lee Beard?

    a very hollow sounding apology, especially as he implored people to bet all their money on him.
    The very least the **** should do is reimburse all those who paid the bucks to go see his fight, deluded huggers or not.

    oh ffs sake anybodys that does anything on the words of a boxer a few days before a mega fight needs fuking shooting. it was a figure of speech nothing more. some people need to get a grip

    Ricky stepped up in class for the second time in his career and for the second in his career he got owned badly and once again it is going to be everyones fault but his own.

    Ray Hatton always had the best idea of keeping him out of good fighters way and still making decent money. Shame he had to get destroyed so badly to make the mega bucks but when money is all you care for Hatton will still be delighted by the result.

    Hatton will get a huge sum of money for his short nights work. Shame he lost his IBO belt though, nice little earner that trinket was.

    no. did you really believe all along the constant chat from the Hatton's about it being 'all about the fans'?
