i just watched it last week and hatton always gave me the impression he was worried.i imagine hatton was having nightmares about losing,he just did not seem that confident in himself.i bet mayweather had recurring dreams about knocking hatton out off the ringpost.he thought about it so much that is probably why he made it happen.

It was just that last week or so. Firstly, 2 weeks before he says he wishes the fight was tomorrow, then the coach is worried has peaked too early(possible). Then he gets some ****ed up herpes on the mouth ****. Up to that point he looked monsterous( I honestly thought he could win); suddenly he looked grey and ill. Then you see his reaction after the weigh in, I thought then he was in panic mode, the occasion finally got to him.. Then there was the media...some twat shows him a tape of well wishers and his kid JUST BEFORE THE FIGHT and don't get me started on Joe Cortez...

He wasn't right at the fight that's for sure.

Very sluggish even at the start.

That's funny, I remember before the fight everyone was saying Hatton was inside Floyd's head and that Floyd looked nervous. A lot of people also said Hatton won the mental battle at the weigh in as well. I wouldn't blame Ricky if he was nervous though. He probably started actually looking at film of Floyd and saw just how much trouble he was in.

they both looked pretty nervous at the weigh in. hatton and his "****ing have him" speech and floyd reacting to the fans. both seemed a little put off.

    then, CHECK HOOK BABY!!!!!

I think up to when Floyd got on that charm offensive Hatton was winning the pre fight stuff; suddenly floyd had the new family man image.. it worked a dream, pulled the rug from under ricky.. remember hatton with floyds kid?

I think Ricky did win the hearts of people with the family man stuff, and did win the pre-fight mind games....... up until the slit throat gesture.

I think he did peak too soon, he was weighing 143 five days in advance of the fight because he was training so hard to get right. Perhaps he would have been better making 140 in his usual manner, and taking the risk on power etc.

    Who knows?

**** what can we say now,he got beaten by a great fighter. ricky himself is still a great fighter and no doubt will go on to dominate LWW for the next 3-5 years.who wouldnt let and occasion like that get to them though,it was insane.

Floyd really got to him at the weigh in and yes he peaked a week early at least. But thats the way the cookie crumbles, like Hearns against Leonard

Ricky lost because he's not as good as Floyd, plain and simple. Hearns was actually winning that first fight with Leonard before he got stopped.

That was a bad stoppage in my opinion:| :bart

Hearns peaked early through overtraining, came in 3-4 lbs too light. That is why he ran out of steam, not because of Leonard(Hearns was setting the pace)

Leonard would have killed Hearns in th 15th if it had been allowed to go on

I was not making any other comparism
