20 years ago maybe not now. Steele has been retired for 3 years(his second retirement) anyway.

Whatever happened to Mills Lane? I'm not even sure if he is still alive or not. But anyway, Hatton might **** around and get flashbacks being in the ring with those guys again. In all reality though, it should be either Kenny Bayless or Jay Nady.

Lane had a stroke a few years ago. I'm 99% sure he's still alive.

Well Clearly that isnt going to happen. However, back in the Golden age of boxing, the teens, 20's 30's....fighters would often act as ref's. Of course as time went on it became just ex known fighters, but really, no longer any former world championship fighters ref. Last one I can think of was Walcot for Ali Liston II (he did a horrible job by the way)

He is around, he had already retired from refin a few years before the stroke though. At the time he said he wasnt in the same kind of physical condition, and he felt that one should be in shape to ref, to get in their fast when the bell rings, push guys off..all that. In fact he did 10 rounds of jump rope 3 rounds of heavy bag and ran to stay in shape for his refereeing duties. Of course then you have guys like Frank Cappochino who dont do a damn thing physically in their.

Hatton will try to break a clinch and get KO'd coz his chin was way too exposed...

I think that would be the first time I will have ever seen the ref be the guy to pull the brass knuckles out of his pants.

My question is who would you reckon Ricky would go for first?
