Well then. Assuming Spinks is now a middleweight, Floyd and Travis are the potential opponents. Floyd is too dangerous for Hatton, weight classes don't matter. Plus, Hatton doesn't seems to appreciate the move-up (cf his Collazo fight) and moving up to 154 would be his biggest mistake IMO.
How so? De La Hoya started at 135. He was really a welter that was burning himself to beat down much smaller guys, though. So he's a former 147 that moved to 154 and failed at 160. So it would REALLY be like De La Hoya winning a middleweight or supermiddleweight title in his career. Still very impressive, but not the impossible like De La Hoya winning a heavyweight title. ****. Shane Mosley moved up two weight classes and beat who was at the time "the man" at welter. That would be equivilent of Hatton moving up and taking out a 154 pound unified champ.
