He already won a belt at WW via gift decision against the lightest competition available. Margarito, Cotto, Williams, Mosley, Clottey, Berto, Cintron, and maybe Judah, Bonsu, and Lujan all finish Hatton within the distance.

People forget that Ricky won against Collazo fair and square. He dropped rounds sure but won more than he lost so STFU.

Lujan is terrible, he got dominated by Jamie Moore fs

I agree with the rest though.

Hatton would beat Berto and maybe Clottey. Don't forget that this is the same guy who KO'd Tzsyu and Castillo. Also, I always thought Cotto would be a good matchup for Ricky at 140 or 147.

But Hatton is at his best a 140 and nobody can touch him there. Plus, with big fights to be had against Pacman, Casamayor and Campbell there is no need for him to move up.

I think Hatton is decent at welterweight to be honest.

The Collazo performance was poor due to a bad stylistic matchup and poor preparation - he was training for a 140lb fight and took the 147 one at short notice and was therefore seen regularly in the takeaways in and around Manchester. Throw in the fact that he used to have a full English breakfast on the morning of a fight and you get a 162lb fat slob as opposed to the 152lb chisteled fighter that entered the ring against Mayweather.

He also looked stronger against Floyd than he had since Tszyu, the loss has been blamed in part to the move up in weight but to me it is nonsense. He is better at 140 than 147, but he would beat Clottey and Berto (especially) for me.

I think he his an average 147 fighter but he should stay at 140 because nobody can touch him. I mean lets be fair he fought a underated collazo where he won 7 of the 5 rounds and the first was a 10- 8. There is more chance of hatton getting hurt at 147 than 140.

I think he won seven sessions against Collazo, the first a 10-8 in his favour, but the last would be a 10-8 against :deal

Well he already won a belt there before so I'd say anything is possible. Belts are a dime a dozen and with the amount of money he generates I would not be surprised if a WBC interim title or something like that was handed to him on a platter.

Why so many giving him a better chance against Clottey of all people than the others? If Hatton tries to grab Clottey he will get his ass tossed around for messing with a very bigger man.. Put that on top of Clotteys will and superior overall funamentals...

I think Clottey would probably beat Hatton at his own game and get a late TKO.

He should stay at Jr Welter. a Pacquaio fight would be an instant classic. Toe to toe Slugfest! Plenty of money fights at Jr. Welter & Lightweight. A Kahn fight in London?! Forget about it!! The place would be Bedlam!

No maybe the old Hatton would had a change vs berto but the hatton of right now has no change.
