Forbes would be a stinker of a fight. He's slick defensively, it would be a wrestling/mauling type fight for Hatton, he'd struggle. He'd be better off fighting Alexander, it would be a better fight with the chance of getting a title again.

he's not making 140 again he's done at that weight, he should give collazo a rematch at 147 or fight berto if hes not up for that then he can fight Ricardo Torres at that weight torres is chinny and hattons got a decent chance of winning theres Also cotto whos likely ruined now plenty of options for ricky

 

Berto and Collazo would KO him. If he has to come back at welterweight I'd suggest he shouldn't come back at all. It wasn't his weight at his best years, he nearly got knocked out by Collazo and had life or death, Collazo would be well up for the rematch. Berto, too young and strong.

 

It would be far less and far less deserved if he didnt keep coming out with nonsense statements and excuses.

I still support him though.

 

the only winnable fight for him at 147 is against some 1 like alfonso gomez but quite frankly it would be laughable if he goes out like that

No one should say Hatton was "hilariously bad" against Floyd. That's bollocks! Biased bollocks at that.

He did very well, especially for the first half of the fight. He really did himself proud. He shouldn't in any way feel embarrassed about that fight and people should stop using it as some kind of joke, it's not funny, it's disrespectful and it's just wrong.

You were replying to Sweaty Bollocks though, who has a very weird and perverse obsession with Ricky and should really be completely ignored or at least never taken seriously. He is actually the only poster I have had on ignore over the last year.

 

I guarentee you, he won't fight Khan.

He is going to do all he can to get Floyd again. That fight would be the only thing that would make it a certainty.

JMM is the next big possibility but by the sounds of it, JMM doesn't really want that fight. I'm not going to speculate why but he isn't keen.

Another big possibility is Torres.

Dunno about Cotto. Ricky wanted it after the Kostya fight but Cotto didn't want to fight Ricky at that time. Now though, I doubt Rick would want Cotto but Cotto would happily take it.

Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricky Hatton have begun talks to fight in Manchester, promoter Richard Schaefer has said.

No date has been discussed.

“That’s one of things we have to discuss,” Schaefer said.

“I’m going to be talking to the Hattons. And Marquez wants to do it. We’ll see if we can get it done.” promoter Richard Schaefer said.

He does bring alot of it on himself tbh with the pish that he comes out with, but then again he is responsible for bringing boxing back to the mainstream in the UK and has given us some good nights.

If he does come back, it absolutely needs to be against Khan. This would be huge and thb Khan won't have felt anything like Ricky, even a shot Ricky.

what goes around comes around. Hatton cunningly fooled a lot of people for a long time, and now many of those people have come to their senses, they've turned on the guy. He can't expect it any different.
A select few such as myself had him down as a fraud a long long time ago, and we were proven right.
massively padded record, set-up win over Tszyu, a few dubious fights where he continued to fight on an uneven playing field.
Who else did PBF or Pacman demolish like that and knock out so easily?
