He could go beat Issac Hlwatscho (I butchered the name) the IBF WW champion that struggled w/ LW Nate Campbell and retire champion

It's only since the Pacquiao loss that he's really started to talk jibberish. Obviously it must have been hard for him to come to terms with but he needs to stop the delusions. He deserves the current ridicule he's getting.

he deserves the ****-taking for the nonsense that he comes out with, he sounds like a caricature of himself at times with his old jokes, talking in the 3rd person and excuses.

    But.....

Anyone without an axe to grind would give props to him for his achievements in the ring in beating Malignaggi, Collazo, Tstzyu and Urango etc and for bringing some massive boxing nights to the British public.

I hope he doesn't come back - I just can't see him getting in the sort of shape he would need to, unless he's promised sparring the Mayweather Snr

Ricky has always suffered from delusions of granduer and his pathetic obsession with the "Pound for Pound" Title was the straw that broke the camals back for most people.

He was never in the fight with Mayweather, needing a knockout to win by the 6th round, and yet he still insists that was robbed by the referee and that it was touch and go for the first part. Also, as he showed the other day, with his "winning by a country mile" statement, he hasn't realised that he was never and will never be able to mix it with the elite in their prime.

Add to that his annoyning "fans" and I'm amazed that he was popular at all to be honest.

Yeah, many on the GF have always been really hard on Hatton but he was a very good fighter and very entertaining. The Yanks would love to have someone like him right now.

If Hatton would have fought Witter when the country was calling for it, there'd be very little Hatton bashing IMO, but Hatton repeatedly refused to take the fight and robbed the British fans of that mega showdown. That's when Ricky went from hero to zero in my eyes

For me what some idiots write on Internet forums doesn't matter. All you have to do is look at Ricky's fan base. That tells you any thing more than a few snide remarks on here.

No, all Ricky's fan base tells us that our country is so obsessed with football that if you flaunt your football allegiance you will have a fan base.

Why do you think David Haye is trying to mention Millwall F.C so often nowadays?

    Why is it?

Why did Ricky Hatton wear Manchester City colours and come out to Blue Moon? He might be deluded, but he's not daft :-(

I'm Witters biggest fan on here bar none, but what you say is just plain bollocks. No one was calling for a Witter - Hatton match up, no one was interested, Witter couldn't sell out a phone box and never could...the clamour for a Witter - Hatton match years ago is an urban myth invented fairly recently by people who just want to bash Hatton with it :deal

Well correct me if i am wrong. But i can't think of Man City taking huge away crowds any time they've been in Europe. Also Man City aren't a club that have the sort of appeal that would generate support from out side Manchester. The Hatton fans that travel to Vegas are from all over the UK.
