    He's obviously scared to fight Witter, especially after what happened against Mayweather. Losing to the worlds best p4p boxer is one thing but losing 2 Witter would be devastatingly embarassing. He can't take that risk.

    P.S. Talking in 3rd person doesn't make u arrogant it just makes u sound like an idiot.

    This is a very interesting thread, while I have never been a Hatton fan, i always thought he was an over-rated brawler who would get found out by a good boxer, he at least brought an interest in big-time domestic boxing since Naz and Lennox retired .. He is lazy, he abuses his body to a degree that ive never seen in an active professional athlete but you cannot deny that the only guy who has ever beaten him is the greatest P4P fighter in the world, if he has no mental damage from the Mayweather massacre and he can get back to his best at 140 then i have no doubt he can beat Witter, Witter hasnt proved much, in fact hes proved about as much as Scott Harrison which on a world level was absolutely nothing .. And Dunky when is the guy in your Avator going to step up to any kind of level, Arthur has been a 'great prospect' for about 10 years, its time we saw what hes REALLY got, i hope hes improved from one of the most embarrassing defeats ever seen in a british ring to Gomez, ive never seen a guy get caught with the exact same shot so many times, round after round, that fight was funny .... In essence i totally agree with Dunky but if u slag off Hatton, a guy who has been there and done it and your avator shows Arthur, a guy who will never headline at the MGM or anywere else of any note then i have to put up some kind of defence for Ricky

    Of course you are allowed to put up a "defence" of hatton, although my thread honestly wasnt an attack on Hatton, it was an observation of what is going wrong with Hatton, & a warning of what his fans can expect in the future.
    You say hatton only has got beat by the best, I agree. Mayweather is the best, & thats an understatement. IMO Mayweather is the best of the best. As for Witter, IMO he has achieved more than Scotty Harrison.

    As for the guy in my avatar? Hopefully hes going to get his superfight very soon. & Arthur has proved himself a good european champion, hes got a fine win over the current european champion.
    As for the stuff about the Gomez defeat, **** happens. He got beat, but most great fighters get shocked in their careers at one time or another.
    Since Arthur got beat by Gomez what has happened? Arthur has won the european title, defended it & is now on the brink of a superfight with Guzman. As Arthur said himself, the Gomez fight was the wake up call he needed.
    However, my thread wasnt about wasnt about slagging off Ricky, cos I even admitted myself that Ricky gave England what my former hero Scotty didnt, a superfight. You Ricky fans got that special night, the kind of night I wished Scotty would get. The Hatton fans can always hold onto those memories. Me? I watched Scotty do time in a spanish ****in jail instead of fighting Guzman, a fight I had tickets for.

    So if you think I am trying to point score, your way off the mark, cos Hatton outscores Harrison achievement wise every day of the week.
    As for Arthur, I just want the guy to beat Guzman. Thats why hes in my avatar. All Im doing is cheering on my own, is that so bad?
