Anyone else think there is a massive amount of hypocrisy here? Both Hatton and Pacquiao went in and did a great job. However, despite Morales being far more faded, Pacquiao got 10x the credit that Hatton is.

Where were all those people who are making excuses when Pacquiao knocked out a faded fighter?

    It's bull****...

ya... i am beginning to realise theres no point in coming to esb anymore for any reason other then the lounge. if you wanna talk real boxing with real boxing fans... try your wife or girlfriend... lol... it will probably be more intelligant, mature, and insightful on all aspects of boxing then the general forum here. lol.

    LOL

yeah of course theres hypocrisy here. Same thing with Cotto beating a guy who hadn't had a real win in over two years.

Hatton haters are getting desperate. Their ****ing pathetic.

Hatton does not have an American promoter, therefore the American Boxing media brainwash people in to giving little credit for the win.

I wonder what the backlash would be if i were to say, uh, that Castillo got exposed, he cannot beat guys that he has no physical advantages over and he got exposed by Ricky

I'm sure this will go down a treat, this would have been said a million times over if Hatton was beaten by anybody

I don't understand why you guys feels so victimized, there was plenty of people saying Morales was past his prime, myself included. There were even more people saying Oscar was past his prime a couple of months ago...

You wanna talk about double standards, how many Hatton fans claimed Oscar was past his prime?

The General Forum is a mess after fights now.

Two top 10 P4P boxers duke it out in what is widely considered a 50-50 fight. We got drama, we had some give and take, we had two guys who don't like retreat and we had a ko. All in 4 rounds.

The hate is now predictable. It's ridiculous.

Everytime a fighter loses there's people claiming the defeated fighter was not at his peak, not properly prepared etc, so ****ing deal with it!

The young fans need to make excuses why their favourite fighters had their ass whooped, all this "It's all because they're not American" stuff is absolute ****ing bull****, the poms have to be the most paranoid boxing fans on the planet.

the people that say that Castillo and Morales went through tons of ring wars and use it as an excuse for their losses are probably mexican.

And then they'll come up with, 'well, Pac couldn't beat a prime Morales' or 'Hatton couldn't beat a prime Castillo'. the arguments never end..

    Rinse, wash..repeat

No way can you compare Hatton to Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a cleaner, more entertaining fighter. Hatton on the other hand has a very annoying/disgusting style, too much clinching. I wish compubox did count clinches as well, they'd be at least a 1/3 of the number of punches hatton threw.
What amazes me even more is the huge fanbase this guy has, he's basically been taking dumps in the ring for that last few fight and people still appreciate that ****!

No way was Morales more washed up then Castillio. Did Castillio even land a punch in that fight? After the first round it was incredible evident that Castillio was so slow and had no business being in the ring.

Also agree with the previous posters on this subject.
