I wonder if this is an attempt to get a promotional contract on Sky again?

Bad idea all round, his body is jaded from his lifestyle even without his fights. I'd be on his side but think its just wrong. Would he really go through it all again to boost his promotions? The bloke is fairly ruthless when it comes to making £ so nothing would surprise me.

If i m honest if i was ricky hatton, i would give it another shot he obviously misses it all afterall he's still young enough. Had a break, time to get back in the ring see if there's anything left. Just hope he goes about a comeback the right way. There's only one trainer i would go for and thats billy graham who knows ricky better than billy, also knows his limitations and won't blow smoke up his arse. Reckon ricky lost the plot a bit after his split with billy, think he kind of lost his confidence when he struggled with mayweather's new training techniques was way too late to change him. Always thought with billy training ricky he would have gave pac-man a much better fight, when ricky new technique wasn't working he kind of look a bit lost in there. **** it - I m getting behind this come-back ;-)

bbjc, post more fella! Can you honestly see him as an elite fighter back at 140? I don't have his background or skills but i do know how hard it is to cut weight at his age. **** it, if he came back to take Malignaggi's belt at 147 i'm all for it, boxing is all about stories.

Big Dave, no harm in trying to make 140, if he can make 140 or 147 safely - get the come-back on, but would call it a day if it's a ricky hatton at 154, don't think a morales type come-back would work for him. Ricky was all about high work-rate, he worked harder than the other guy. Would take some good match-making for it to work, but would like to see him out often against lower level guys to build that sharpness up, instead of throwing him in with mallinaggi then khan, i still think a fit 32 year old hatton would beat mallinaggi but it would be a 50/50 at this stage, get him in with guys that are a good bit below his level and see how it goes, calzaghe fought guys below his level for years, cleverly looks like he's doing the same, and ricky done it with his wbo run so why not now. i think you'd get more succesful come-back storys if guy started from the beginning when they were prospects - look at george foreman, now that was a successful come-back!!! Obviously with ricky being a good bit younger etc, you can move him on quicker. Still think you can get one or two big big nights in vegas and a few big nights in manchester out of it, at the end of the day thats what we're all after, fans, promoters and ricky hatton. I don't buy into don't fight again, you might get seriously hurt talk thats the career path these guys choose could happen to them at any time - thats why i take my hat off to every single one of them. He's 32 training guys that will never get to his level and by the looks of things he seems like he's depressed about it all, regardless of how many articles we see him trying to convince us how great it's going. In 2/3 years time from now, that chance of a come-back will be over for good , time to get them gloves on and see whats left honestly think he owe it to himself to give it one more go before it's too late. My only question is this, will ricky's ego allow him to take the fights necessary for a successful come-back??? First move would be to get billy graham back and kerry kayes, at one point we had ricky's dad negotiating fights. Billy takes a lot of stick, more about his fighters lack of defence but ricky's offence really was his defence, up until tyzsyu ricky really didn't take too much punishment, it was only at the very very top level where he got exposed a bit, at the end of the day i don't think anyone could train hatton to beat mayweather but billy played to ricky's strength and it took them further than we ever imagined it would go. Ricky was the last guy that went in with mayweather , where people actually thought floyd might lose, we've all changed our minds a bit now after the event, but going into that fight it was a 50/50 for me, and i had seen enough of mayweather to know how special he is. Get the gloves back out ricky - it's time!!!

If hes really got the bug back id love to see it. Imagine if he somehow managed to come back and win a world title a la morales , foreman , etc. Boxing wouldnt be boxing without comeback stories and if theres one fighter who deserves it for everything hes given to his fans in and out of the ring its the hitman.

With all the bad press that british boxing has gathered lately it be be a shot in the arm. Rickys not stupid. For anyone whos concered for him or his health dont worry. Hes got plenty of money , a good family and i dont think hed comeback unless he thought he could do it. Im aboard.

    "THERES ONLY OOOOOONE RICKY HATTON!!!!!!"
