Anyone else see the symmetry between these two good fighters, both capable of beating other good fighters, and winning world titles, but when they step up to the Pacman/Mayweather level, they will nearly always lose, because they are just too easy to hit....

Cotto is way better than Hatton and would stop him with ease.

Yep ive been saying this for some time.

Cotto is a good fighter but not great and has always been very vulnerable.

Due to styles. Cotto style is superior to hatton's.

Margarito is not on Mayweather/Pacquaio level.

I dont think its accurate to say that when cotto steps ut he loses. Cotto's beaten ATG Mosely so I dont think its that when he steps up he loses. He just doesnt know how to fight off the back foot. When he gets pushed back he takes punishment + his guard is wide open

yeah good shout, hatton vs cotto this could be a closer fighte than people think both fighters past thier best i feel and both damaged by bad defeats .when fighters meet and both are slightly on the downside it could well result in a great fight.cotto i feel has more left than hatton

i hate to say it but, a fight between cotto and hatton makes the most sense for both fighters. i really thought hatton was crazy for saying he wanted to come back and fight cotto, but after what i saw last night i think it would make for a good fight.

Until last night I would have disagreed. You are 100% correct. Cotto is very good fighter but not an ATG. I have always said Pac was overrated but boy was I wrong. He is an ATG

Cotto would destroy Hatton, especially now.

He actually fought some good rounds yesterday and still looks like a very good fighter. It's just that he happened to fight somebody who made Barrera, Morales, Marquez and ODLH look ordinary, and none of these guys are ordinary.

    Would be a logical match-up.

Cotto did crack the top level with both ability and the Mosley win. Hatton didn't. There are no parallels in terms of their career.

Hatton was brutally laid out by Pacquiao in 2 rounds. Cotto was gradually overwhelmed and worn down to a TKO, and showed flashes of competitiveness in the process. There are no parallels in terms of their last performances.

Cotto is a much better and much stronger fighter, and would delete Hatton quite comfortably.

    **** no.

Cotto has a far superior resumé and has beaten better fighters. He's far superior to Hatton technically, tougher and just a better alround fighter.

He'd **** Hatton up BADLY, whenever they were to meet.

At this point in their career that's probably true. Hatton did stop Malignaggi where as Cotto couldn't. Malignaggi gave a much better fight to Cotto then he did Hatton.
