    A massively drained Cotto.

Hatton was the No.1 LWW and still might be if you take Pac out of the picture.

Hatton lost to Mayweather and Pac. Ok? That is Mayweather.. and.. Pac. Those are the two best fighters in the world.

Cotto is bigger then Hatton yes. But he also got two serious beatings by Margarito and Pac.

Both man have been fishing in the same pool and got there hand bitten off. So a Hatton-Cotto fight would be a logical match-up.

You can't seriously believe what you're writing. Cotto put a far worse beating on Malignaggi than Hatton did, yet Ricky got a bull**** stoppage. And Malignaggi boxed rings around Hatton when he used his lateral movement & jab, unfortunately he did this for exactly one round and then stood there taking punches. Not to mention Cotto was weight drain, or never got stopped in his tracks by Malignaggi's powder-puff right hand like Hatton did.

First off ,they are the same size.Secondly,if you are going to say that Hatton gave a better account of himself against Pac than Cotto, then you are truly a heroin addict.Thirdly, the absurdity of your opinion is insane.Hatton lasts 3,maybe 4 rounds with Margarito, who would kick Hatton's ass all over the place, but his supporters would once again make the excuse that Margarito is too big.I don't pay 4 pay-per-view at all,but would pay 2 c Cotto beat Hatton's overrated ass all over the place and listen 2 his excusemaking fans yet again.I just hope that Wicky has the balls to fight Miguel.

Yeah dude... But you are living in the past. Cotto just took a second brutal beating so who nows how it will effect him.

Cotto was weight drained vs Pauli thats why.

Cotto would spunk all over Hatton, any day of the week.

Cotto is a level above Hatton. Convincing TKO for Miguel if they ever fought. He is just too big and too skilled.

I think that's what it comes down to - circa 2005 its a great fight but I feel Hatton should retire.

People are harsh on Hatton - his very best was very good, but probably pre- Tszyu.

Agree with 90% of that - but Cotto's legs were stiffened more than once v PM, mainly down to weight but to me his distress under fire was more visible than Hatton (who looked more gun-shy than hurt to me).

Hatton would NEVER in any lifetime be able to beat a fighter like Mosley. Don't forget that Cotto beat Mosley. Yes, Mosley was past his best, but past his best he is still at the top of the division.

With that said, Cotto is no mayweather or pac.

Hatton is just a step above a club fighter now. He has a lot of moxy and staying power but not much real skill and no speed. He is barely in the top 10, Cotto is a top 4 fighter imo, he would cream Hatton. Hard to believe Hatton will get anymore big fights. I doubt he could beat Khan or Salita at this stage of his carrier. He was fun to watch earlier in his carrier and can be proud of his accomplishments no doubt.

Where would you rank Mosley as an ATG?

Mosley is not on the same level as Manny and Mayweather. He is slightly below them, on a level with Kostya Tszyu (or Calzaghe), for example. I'm not sure any of them are ATGs. If so, only just.

My original point was, that Hatton and Cotto are both good/very good fighters, but because both their defences are porous/swiss cheese, they can't cut it against the Manny's and Mayweather's of this world.

Almost everybody's style is superior to Hatton's, it doesn't mean they could beat him. Cotto is simply a stronger and much more talented boxer than Hatton is.

So do you think Hatton would beat Margarito? 'Cause I certainly don't.
