Whoever thinks this will be a close fight needs there head tested.

Cotto would maul Hatton. At Whatever weight. There is no way Hatton would withstand Cotto's punches.

 

Cotto trashed Hatton in the media recently. Could be an interesting fight..
Staged at MSG. I think Hatton always dreamed of fighting there.

Erm no, Cotto is levels above Hatton.

He's proven this by fighting and beating top fighters (Mosley), whereas we all know Hatton has never conquered an opponent of Mosley's calibre. Miguel Cotto's case will always be a sad one, because it's been fully confirmed now that the Margarito fight has indeed damaged him mentally, and maybe physically. His failure to replace his uncle as a trainer has also done him a lot of harm, as it seems to have stagnated his development, and put him at a major disadvantage in his last fight.

His career however can be salvaged if he tries to rectify this problem. Having a strong and experienced no nonsense trainer can take you very far, as we've seen with Roach and Pac. Cotto has amazing talent and intelligence as a fighter, which needs nurturing by someone good.

 

People are saying here, "once hatton gets ko'd by cotto the hatton fans would make excuses", yet Cotto fans are doing the exact same thing about Cottos peformance against Mallanaggi.

Its quite clear here that there are more cotto fans and are just slagging ricky off. I am a cotto fan myself but also like ricky too.
I also think that Hatton matches Cottos power if not beats it. Cottos however is a superior fighter and this is where he would win it. This fight would be much much closer than people think ifB] Hatton could get back into the shape he was 2 years ago. Which to be honest is highly unlikely now. Shame he does that to his body. Tragic.

 

Cotto is very much superior to Hatton, this cannot even be debated.

 

Cotto Vs. Hatton would be FOTY guaranteed.
