Hatton Demands Floyd Fight at 140

Come on, I'm a huge Mayweather fan but everybody knows that Hatton is the man at 140 since 2005.

However, he should stop avoiding Floyd. In 2005 he ducked Floyd and said he would fight him later, after becoming a name in America. Ok, he beat Castillo and right now he has some international prestige, so he should fight Mayweather. Fighting at 147 is ok, but he wants Mayweather to go down from 154 to 140 because he knows that at 147 he'll get beaten.

 

Titles, who gives a **** about Titles? There both highly recognised fighters, this is the problem with boxing fighters have to bigger ego's this fight can be made at 147 i dont see the problem, Hatton doesnt need to bulk up for floyd, he can come in about 144, and on fight night will be the bigger man. It's not as if he is fighting Margorito or Cotto? He doesnt need to be bulkier to be able to withstand harder shots from bigger men.

The shitty titles are whats killing boxing.

Ricky Hatton is the lineal champ. Which belts he holds now(IBo and WBC international) are meaningless, he beat the Real Champion Tszyu and IS THE REAL 40 Champ.

I know its hard for you to grasp that the world doesnt revolve around Floyd's nuts, but Hatton is a prime undefeated Champion, just like Floyd and PBf never won the 40 championship.

Floyd needs Hatton, SSM, Cotto, and the Marg vs Williams winner to add real respect to his legacy.

HBO would not let Ricky fight Mayweather, they had him on a three fight deal to market him make him more known, which in turn would make them more money with PPV buys, they have taken different routes since Hatton won the belt, Floyd has only been intrested in winning belts (WBC) upto 154 and eventully making the money against Dela Hoya.

HBO would rather see Cotto Mayweather than Hatton Mayweather, as they feel Hatton hasnt done enough so far on HBO, they want to make it even bigger when it happens.

IMO? I dont care who PBF fights next as long as he fights SSM, Cotto, Hatton, and the Marg vs Williams winner. All four fights need to happen. It would make more sense to fight Hatton now coming down to 40 or a catch weight wont be any easier in the future.

 

Some people on hear are ******ed, go check the Ring Magazine September issue and check there number 1 contender is, you will find it is none other than Jose Luis Castillo 4th round ko victim of the RING Champ, secondly Kosta was the number one in the division when Floyd decided to beat up the limited (never beaten an elite fighter) Gatti, he then went to 147 and beat a guy who was embarrased by a 15/1 outsider 3 months later, now if you realy believe what you put, you are ******ed like i said.

Floyd has not fought anyone in there prime since 2002, so i think he does needs one of those or more than one to cement this so called greatness.

 

My point was to say Hatton is ducking PBF is ludicrous, and its not only Hatton who has the final say but there is alot of other elements like tv.

The weakest Champs?? Which was weaker Tszyu or Gatti:think PBF jumped to 47 5 months after Gatti. The potential Cotto timeline was thrown off a bit as Hatton went to 47 to chase PBf with the 3 fight deal. Hatton fought Collazo in may 06, Cotto fought PM in june 06. Hatton went back down and Cotto went up.

BC, BF, BO, BA, blah, blah, blah!! None of those are any better than the others individually, all the orgs suck. The only meaningful things are LINEAL and UNIFICATION. Now, you point out Hatton wasnt undisputed/unified but he was LINEAL and could still unify at 40.

We know you're impressed by the alpha title game, but th vast majority sees through the bull****. The simple fact is that PBF has held two lineal titles and 3 soup belts while AVOIDING THE TOUGHEST OPPOSITION IN EVERY WEIGHT CLASS! The way to make it right is with those 4 fights.

I agree Hatton is the real champ at 140 only b/c he beat a guy that had 140 in a head lock for a minute. But hatton will weasel his way out of this b/c either way he promoted himself by using floyds name. Floyd would fight hatton at a catch weight.not at 140. Remember Floyd can make 140 easy. That is nothing. He probably would want to be heavier to have more power in his punch but either way he is going to beat hatton like a pinyata. This fight is personal...for Floyd...this is not about just money. Floyd made this decision himself to fight hatton. Hatton disrespected the hell out of him in front of the world ...so floyd wants to whoop his ass....to settle the score. Floyd been wanted to fight hatton. Floyd has not fought a prime fighter since Castillo, Dela Hoya would smoke Mayweather in his prime ( 7 years ago) Floyd needs to fight guys who either are in there prime or not guys who have fought 3 times in nearly four years.

 

Yeah and that "Weight drained" Cotto was knocking everyone out at 140 and he didnt knock Malginaggi out so what makes you think Hatton will knock Malginaggi out? Hatton cant fight against good boxers with speed and movement.
