All of the chanting drowned out the sounds of people getting punched. Which basically killed some of the excitement of the fight. I am not saying people should show more respect , and be quiet like the Japanese ... Its just hard to get a sense of how hard people are getting hit if you cant hear it. IDK It just makes more sense to be quiet enough to soak in the action and THEN respond accordingly with cheers.
They're there to support their man, not necessarily because they love the sport. I'm not one for chants, but that's how their culture is.
I think any boxer would love to have that kind of support from the hometown fans. Heck, they even had a band playing for him. I didn't even know that was allowed inside a venue like that.
****, they love the guy. Can't fault them for that. It did get a bit annoying after awhile. Good thing I like Hatton. It didn't bother me as much as it would have had I not been a fan.
Most of Hatton's fans are Football fans and if you have ever been to a game you will know no one stays silent for long. They are just showing support the best way possible. Can't wait to hear a 90,000 crowd at wembely cheering on the Hitman
I like Hatton, but his fans are a bit much for me. They act more like they are at a party then a sporting event. However, this may just be cultural.
Its just the football/soccer crossover, I dont mind it, personally i like it, but thats probably because im a huge football fan, and im use to it.
