http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12183_2808318,00.html An angry Ricky Hatton insists there is "not a cat in hell's chance" he will lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr on December 8. The Mancunian is training hard ahead of the showdown with Pretty Boy in Las Vegas, a bout you can see live on Sky Box Office. A punishing workout schedule means The Hitman is looking lean and feeling mean as he prepares for the biggest fight of his life. He believes his new-found nasty streak is keeping him focused on the task in hand - beating Mayweather and becoming the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Angry "I've really got the hump," he told Sky Sports News. "I've got a nasty streak at the minute, there's not a cat-in-hell's chance he's going to beat me on December 8. "With every punch I throw, even if it is shadow boxing, I've got so much focus." While the unbeaten Brit has been concentrating on the upcoming fight, his opponent has been splitting his time between training and appearing on reality TV show Dancing with the Stars. However, the trash-talking American has now been knocked out of the competition, giving him eight weeks to prepare for his Undefeated showdown. Hatton admits he has seen Mayweather's moves on the dance floor and has been impressed, although he insists it's nothing to his nimble footwork on a night out. Surprised "I believe he (Mayweather) is out of the dancing competition now," he said. "I saw a few clips of him and he wasn't bad actually, he's got a fair bit of rhythm about him. I was quite surprised. "But he's still not as a good as me in Manchester after 12 pints of Guinness. He doesn't even come close." There will no heavy sessions for Hatton in the near future, with his strength coach and nutritionist, Kerry Kayes, dictating everything that goes into his body. Trainer Billy Graham admits Hatton's already looking in good shape, stating; "Everything is going fantastic. "He looks great already and we're quite away out (from the fight). We've just got to keep him at the right temperature as we're training."
Hatton has ZERO physical or talented advantages in this fight. I dont see anyway he can beat Floyd.Wether Floyd stays in the pocket or beats him from the outside he is simply a vastly superior talent than Hatton. Hatton doesnt have the speed nor the power to bother Floyd and his doesnt have the physical advantages to bother Floyd even if he could get inside his jab. This fight will go much the same way Gatti went. Floyd puts on a master class with hatton pressing the action and easting jab after right hand and TKO`ed mid to late. There is NO WAY Hatton can win no matter what he says.
Floyd is a big favorite , but Rickys a live underdog. One thing for sure, Hatton is no Gatti, and any comparisons are unfounded. It will take a relentless inside attack to beat Floyd, and thats Hattons specialty.Ricky should be good enough to make it interesting , but in my humble opinion Floyd takes it.However , this will not be a Gatti like punching bag exhibition, but a real fight.
Yes, yes. You keep reminding us in every thread you post. If this is the case, why the hell is FMJ taking the fight? Does he always take the easy option? If he does win (and i'm sure he will) I hope you don't come on here and say that's he's the greatest because he beat Hatton....it's an easy fight, is it not????:think
Oscar's 'best shot'????? Obviously you mean the best shot that Oscar threw in that fight and not his best shot, period. Did Oscar actually land a decent shot in that fight?? Anyway, you are full of **** whatever way you put it.
I am a big Hatton fan but I do not realistically expect him to win this one but of course he has a chance. He is a world champion and therefore must have some good qualities? Unfortunately FMJ fans give Hatton no chance at all and think that this fight is a walkover. Real boxing afficionados you guys are.
If you happen to be a realistic Hatton fan... which I doubt. You would know Hatton has about a 1 in 10 chance of winning this one. Oh... and it's aficionado. One f.
Learn how to score a fight man! Oscar won no more than 4 rounds at best. Oscar won a comfortable decision please.:-(
