No what I'm saying is instead of fighting people like Lazcano, Castillo, and Urango he could have been fighting, Torres, Holt,Bailey,Corley, and Witter and solidifying his dominance in his weight class against real world class opposition. I guess now you fans know why that didn't happen, he didn't want to money train to stop too soon.

He was over the hill, he wasn't in top shape either and the ref let Hatton do his thing...but that night, Tszyu was more than a B level fighter, that much is obvious, if you watch the fight. Hatton might only have performed once at A- level, but undoubtedly, he did rise to that level of performance, so it would be wrong to say he was never more than a world class fighter, even if for most of his career, he performed at B, B to B+ and B+ level.:good

Exactly right my man, he just wanted mega fights he never deserved to get or belonged in but because he has fans who enjoy drinking along, bring along some dumb band singing songs and playing instruments and that come along by the tens of thousands, these idiot promoters see "$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$" and use him as a tool to make these waste of time fights. He is a tool and I want him out of the sport. Nothing but a British Gatti, just money grubs not elite fighters stealing money from people and laughing all the way to the bank. GTFO with that.

I was a bit dissappointed in Hatton's perfomance, but he's far from a fraud.

Hatton was never a real elite fighter, I've always said this.

Ricky was lucky that the 140 division was ****.

I'm sad to say that I feel like Hatton has been coasting these last 3/4 years. In this I mean that he fights a less than prime Kostya and Castillo, looks bad against Collazo and Lazcano and gets his arse handed to him on a plate by the two big names he fights. I was a huge Hatton fan til the hype got too much. As a lot of people have said, he's good, not great.

Let me just add a few things. Even though I believe Hatton is a fraud, that doesn't mean I think he's a terrible fighter. He does have some talent. However, he is a product of careful matchmaking. He didn't fight anyone of note before getting his shot at Tszyu, he had a lot of help from the ref when he beat Tszyu, and he continued carefully picking his opponents after he beat Tszyu. Mayweather, Cotto, and Maussa were the other champs after he beat Tszyu. Which one does he fight? Of course, the C level one hit wonder. Hatton actually said he wasn't ready to fight Floyd. How the hell are you going to be the recognized champ and say you aren't ready to fight other people in your division?

Hatton is a second tier fighter. However, the boxing world has been conned into believing he was an elite level fighter. The guy did not belong in any top 10 p4p rankings, he should never go into the hall of fame, and his ring belt would've been taken from him a long time ago had he not avoided so many fighters. I see people saying he's not a fraud because he only lost to excellent fighters. However, it's not just that he lost it's the way he lost. That performance yesterday was pathetic. Hatton looked like a guy who had just put on the gloves for the first time. How can his fans not feel duped? They brought into the excuses after the Mayweather loss and paid their hard earned money to come over seas to see him put on a horrible performance and get knocked clean the **** out. When a Gatti level fighter gets treated like he's a Pacquiao level fighter, then I say he's a fraud.

It was all downhill after the mayweather loss for ricky.

He was never an elite fighter but good enough to win a belt or two against weaker non elites.

He's still a decent boxer he's just a rung below the pacs and mayweathers of this world like most fighters are.

Having said all this I am not sure many current boxers out there wouldn't have lost in similar fashion to manny last night.
