It made me laugh in the 24/7, when Hatton wa slaughing at a vid of Pacquiao, rolling his eyes all smug, calling him one dimensional and saying Pac does the same move over and over again. Then Floyd joins in saying Pacquiao and Roach are crap and will get beat by his man. Then Roger comes over for a day, and says anyone like them disrespecting and underestimating Pacquiao might as well burn all their boxing equipment. It makes me shudder to imagine if Hatton believes his own words sometimes. As if Pacquiao's record is some sort of joke, and his punches don't hurt?? His record of KOing elite fighters speaks for itself - to disrespect his achievements in the sport, and KO capacity is a recipe for disaster.
This is what you call a man who is starting to peak just before the fight, of course he is going to be full of himself thats what a good training camp is supposed to do. I was noticing on the 24/7 and the Dishnetwork pre fight show, big differences in the way that the camps act, I think Roach has too many distractions going on at Wildcard to have any luck in this fight, seriously bringing in Michael Moorer is not a good idea IMO its just another man in there with different ideas that will only confuse Manny. I also think that they are expecting an older version of Ricky Hatton, not the one who is working with Floyd Sr. Honestly there just isnt enough tape of the new hatton out there for them to prepair for any adjustments Hatton has made, they are entering the un known in this fight. Style wise Ricky will off set some of Pacs rythem no doubt, but I think the size will break down Pacquiao in the fight, the more I look at this fight, I see Hatton winning, its not a hate thing, I love Pacquiao he is a great fighter. I just think that a guy like Hatton brings more to the table then most think, look at it this way, in Rickys last fight the only other fight he has had with Floyd sr, Ricky scored a knock out, and this was against a guy who fought a close fight and went the distance with Miguel Cotto, and then when you really look at Ricky up close. Sure Mannys record has better names, but they are a bit older versions of their former selves, DLH MAB and Morales, the one name that stands out JMM and only one point seperates Pacquiao from Marquez. The names on Rickys resume, well they are all Jr Welters, but lets take a look at some of those names, Tszyzu (shot or past it sure so was oscar still good win) Urango (power puncher south paw) Paulie (quick handed boxer former IBF champ) Collazo (solid fighter no doubt and a quick south paw who just gave Berto all he could handle.) he has also been in there with P4P King Mayweather Jr. I think the variety of current young Jr Welters and the couple fights he did have at welter will serve him in this fight. all but KT were in their prime and only one loss in those fights at the hands of Mayweather Jr. I cant name one guy recently that manny has fought in their prime and beat Clearly that can stack up to any of these names here you could argue Marquez, but I said beat Clearly. :nono Hatton TKO 9 and I am sticking to it~~~
I don't think you understood what Roger was saying, he said Hatton SHOULD beat Pac, because of his size and strength advantage.. and said if he can't beat Pac then he should quit boxing because if he can't beat the smaller man in Pacquiao then he's not much chop.. More of an insult to Pac if you ask me.
Well he is bound to talk a bit more being around Floyd Sr.! Pre-fight talk is good. It's builds the fight and can be quite entertaining!
So what?Everybody does it. Hell last time he did in a big fight it got him KO'd. ''Let's fookin 'ave him!'' Remember?
Freddie Roach: "My Man Pacquiao who took more than 8 rounds to stop David Diaz at 135lb, and who couldnt put away old Barrera at 130, is gonna stop the best 140lb in the world in 3 rounds" THAT is cocky.
When you mention older names ie. MAB. Which one was the older one you are referring to, the one he beat in 2003 or 2007? Because the MAB I recall in 2003 was the number 3 pound for pound fighter in the world coming of the loss to Erik to win 8 straight. He got murdered by Manny. The one in 2007 actually did a better job.
I see what your trying to say, However Hamed was removed from the Picture JMM was comming up during that time, Morales was doing his thing, but look at it from this perspective, Barrera turned pro at 16 so in 2003 its safe to say that after all of the wars he had been through Mckenny, Junior Jones and Morales he was on his way out, Actually he was considered past his prime when he beat Hamed. Why was he rated at #3 P4P? if you have good management that can get you some good fights to stick around a bit longer than you normally would of course you will keep that rating. its a business after all~ anyhow I am in the minority here when I say that I beleive Barrera was all done.
Barrera was considered past his prime as early as 2000, but I think he showed that his prime was actually during 2000-2003. I don't know what people mean when they say prime here, but if they are saying Manny beat the best version of Marco that we have ever seen? Bull****.
So what does that make Manny now who also began his career at 16 and had a similar resume of wars? Are you in the minority for him as well?
let him be, cause i see him getting knocked out this saturday lol:hey seriously speaking, this is going to be a great fight, and i think pac and hatton is evely matched
