Does anyone else feel slightly aggrieved when they hear this crap? £250 minimum to get a seat within 200 yards of the ring. Only £150 if you don't mind watching the fight on a big screen 'cos the ring is a dot in the distance. And that's for a 'warm up' fight. Thanks Rick, but I'll have to decline this great act of generosity. :nono

It's all about the fans. He could have had a 2am start on HBO but he decided not to because it's all about the fans. And he's ill but he's still fighting because it's all about the fans. And he's fighting Lazcano who is "no mug", "ranked 4 by the IBO" and who "many people say is too hard an opponent for a comeback fight" because it's all about the fans. And he's having a knife thrower as part of his entrance because it's all about the fans.

The thing is there was never a question of having a later start time. HBO and Showtime were not interested in the fight so where was he going to get an extra £1 million from for fighting at 2am?

I think this fight will bomb on PPV. I can't see too many doughnuts splashing out £15 to watch a Hatton hugging Lazcano.

Sky must be worried and that's why there are countdown galores for this fight.

Yeah, after I ran the pound to dollar conversion in my head, I started wondering where that "family of four" was going to scrape up a mere three bills for their nosebleed seats. Maybe in the couch somewhere...

But hey, the fight could be an absolute snoozefest, and the atmosphere in that stadium will still be memorable. My hats off to British fight fans, you guys get loud as hell. :good

Yeah it probably will do quite well actually. Hatton is a cross-over star now so he's not relying on the afficianadoes to be interested. Mr Joe average- who knows feck all about the sport- will be ordering this all over the country.

IMO, a comeback fight is always interesting to watch..
exsp when it's coming off a knockout loss such as Hatton's.

I'm interested to see if a K.O. will change Ricky's style & Approach
it has been seen where agressive fighters become timid once they suffer that L by Knockout.

I agree Lazcano will not be a pushover (on paper)
Paulie on the card aswell, sound like a cool card.
of course I'll be watching on vs. and not paying the PPV.
