The guy will never be considered a great boxer but he should be considered a great fighter!

That said, his boxing skills are extremely underrated and anyone who is familiar with some of his fights pre-Kostya, will realise that.

It will be very interesting to see what happens in the next two years. He has three fights (four at a stretch) left and depending who those fights are against and the result, he could very well be remembered as a decent ATG.

EDIT: I find it very interesting, the way people talk about Castillo now, since he lost to Ricky. I dunno if anyone remembers before that fight but the main consensus (by some way) was that Ricky was going to get battered! That he just wouldn't have a chance. People were completely convinced!
Then, sadly, as soon as the fight was finished, the same majority who foresaw a walk over now said Castillo was completely and utterly shot (some were so desperate to find an excuse without giving Ricky any respect, they actually said the fight was thrown!!!)

as i have said many times here i am a massive hatton fan.although i think he is neither atg or hype.you aint great just by selling out a stadium m8,he can box and he is not afraid to take on the best but no matter what happens no-one can say he dodges anyone,he will take on anyone,ps his fan base wasnt that big that he sold out MSG as a rookie:yep

I agree with you (apart from your boring "******" comment. I can't stand people throwing around stupid, derogatory comments at all on the internet but I really hate that stupid, boring, redundant, non-entity of a comment "******".

It did seem like a very strange comment. Do people really lie or kid themselves about someone who is fighting their favourite boxer? How pointless! Ridiculous!

You're almost as bad as him, y'know? Replying to him all the time. What's the point? Are you doing it for his benefit? Ours? Your own? I can't see there being any benefit at all to anyone, we aren't impressed. Just ****ed off that another half decent thread is getting ****ed up by that wanker and you are allowing him, even fuelling him!

Just ****ing ignore him and let us all benefit!

The only blemish on Hatton record was Collazo, the shoe lace thing in the Lazcano fight was totally irrelevant as Hatton dominated that fight with a clearcut win.Hattons top level,140lb champion unbeaten. To you,if he beats Pacquiao he`s still hype.

    I think that`s a bit harsh.

No ones going round saying the HITMAN is a Great, but he is certainly a fighter at world level.
Whats more......he`s not ducking anyone. He`s already called out Pacquiao and said he`d love to fight PBF again.
So credit to Ricky for that.

Is he a Great???? Probably not.

He still alot better than most fighters at 140.
