Hatton knew this. It was the fans and media who kept asking him for 1 more fight.

Had some of the best nights of my life watching Ricky at the M.E.N. and at Vegas against Castillo. Didn't manage to go for Mayweather but for most of my mates, it was the best week of there lives.

Hatton had amazing fan power, with over 20,000 travelling to Vegas, most without tickets to watch Hatton/Mayweather. No other boxer in the world has taken than many fans to a foreign country.

Hatton pre Kosta was an animal, he was fierce and ferocious. Brutal body shots and relentless attacks. He had a graphite chin and would just fire at you non stop for 12 rounds.

Hatton was never the same animal to me after the Kosta fight, that fight took a lot out of Ricky.

Enjoy your retirement champ and thank you. Theres Only Oneeeee Ricky Hatton :happy

Be like Ricky. He finally realized that his days of competitive pro boxing is over. I know he takes those priceless images in stride and with a good laugh. That shows that he's indeed a retiree.

I hope he success with his promotional company. Definately one of the more exciting fighters of recent times, his fans always brought great football-like atmosphere to his fights. He will be as missed to the sport as Naz was. I remember being as pumped for Hatton-Mayweather as I am for Pac-Mayweather.
