At the end of the day it's Ricky Hatton's decision. Ricky Hatton has to make the right decision for Ricky Hatton's sake. Ricky Hatton fought the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world and was a two weight world champion. If Ricky Hatton's heart isn't in it anymore then maybe it's time Ricky Hatton should hang up Ricky Hatton's gloves. I wish Ricky Hatton all the best in Ricky Hatton's retirement.
Ricky Hatton over the last 12 years has been a great ambassador to British Boxing. He annoyned me a lot of the time towards the end, not as much as his fans ever did though, but no-one can doubt that the man generated excitement and interest. (Who will ever forget the build up to the Mayweather fight?) I hope that the news is confirmed and he has retired because, judging on his recent performances and appearance, it's obvious that he doesn't have much to gain and could lose a lot. Enjoy your retirement Ricky and thanks for some really good memories.
I'm slightly disappointed that we won't have the opportunity to see a proper Mexican warrior fight in the UK, but as has been stated its RHs decision.
