Many people think Pacman will just walk over Hatton, but I think Hatton has a great chance of winning and shocking the world. By beating Pacman will Hatton be P4P King?, I like both fighters, but want Hatton to win. :good

Hatton does have a good chance and personally I'm backing Hatton to win this one. Hatton wont be P4P #1 though if he succeeds.

Pac looked awsome against De La Hoya but I feel the Golden Boy did not provide much of an obstacle despite the myriad physical advantages he had. No disrespect for what was an extremely impressive display once again from Pac but Hatton will make him work much harder and is still the naturally bigger man.

Then again Hatton is not exactly the Scarlet Pimpernel and Manny makes his punches count unlike Malinaggi who despite all his heart punches like a foetus.

I can see Hatton walking into too many sickening blows and succombing to the quality and power of Pac but also give Hatton a chance of bullying and brawling his way to a hard fought victory if he really turns up for it.

Stylistacally both men have the tools to hurt eachother and both are tough customers. 50/50 ya'll.

To me it all depends how much store you put in Pacs last 2 fights against Oscar and Diaz. I think both wins, while impressive, are getting vastly overrated by a lot of people over on the General Forum.

Agreed, from my perspective he hasn't had a proper challenge or good solid punch on the chin above super featherweight. Yes his wins have been impressive, and have shown that he can hurt a far bigger man, but they haven't anything about what the naturally bigger man can do to him.

Pacman's last two fights have been at different weights but have not been real test for Manny, yeah good win's but Hatton is the best LWW, and will bring WAR to Pacman.

This fight will come down to who wants it more, this will be all out WAR.

This is how I feel too, my gut tells me that Hatton can impose his natural weight on Pac moreso than Oscar could but I'm loathe to go against Pac again.

This can go either way, it will depend on whether Hatton can close him down or if Pac is too evasive for him.

I used to think this is an easy match up for Hatton, too big too strong, hits too hard. Ive changed my mind now.

i dont think its an easy Pac win, that would be readin too much into the DLH fight, but I do see a 50-50- fight.

    I agree with JC, a 50-50 fight.

Hatton's core strength and pressure versus Pac's speed and movement (that bouncing all over the ****ing place that Pac does - in and out, as well as side to side - will give Hatton fits in the early going, it will be up to Ricky to pin him down and land the critical hits late on).

Hatton is a solid top 10 fighter. Beating Pac would make him P4P number or at least 2 behind Calzaghe but I'd probably put Hatton 1 and Joe 2.

Hatton has as much chance as Manny does. He is a career 140, a strong, sometimes powerful fighter. He has great footspeed and no one has ever left him hanging, even Floyd struggled to do this despite mesmerising footwork.

    I'm hoping for Ricky v JLC pt2.

TBH if this fight's well officiated I can see Pac doing a number on Hatton, I really can. Hatton's big but Pac's fast as **** and powerful, plus Hatton has a history of struggling with southpaws. If Hatton's allowed to wrestle like he would be at home he wears him down and drops him in 6/7

This is what I mean about the Diaz and Oscar fights getting overrated. What makes you think Pac is powerful at 140? Taking 9 rounds and hitting the face first Diaz with everything he had before getting a stoppage in a fight at 135 or stopping Oscar primarily because ODL couldn't cope with the speed and movement. Both fights were impressive displays of boxing from Pac but niether showed him to be a big puncher at 135+, quite the opposite in fact. He's a solid puncher at 140 but no more than that.
