I am sure you are

You probably didn't even know who Hatton was when he turned pro!

I reckon he did. If you think about it... TFFP's hate must come from something personal. I reckon TFFP is Hatton's long lost brother but Ricky and Matthew used to make him clean up after their work outs. They never invited TFFP to go for a pint of guinness with them. They never introduced him to their girlfriends mates. And they refused to take him to a ball which was being held for the whole of the land to allow the Prince to find a wife. Instead TFFP would sit at home all alone. So he decided to move to Iceland and start a new life for himself. However he cant get over the pain and anger towards his successful brother and so goes about playing down Hatton's acheivements.

    :yep

The day I want to be one of the lads I will take a sledgehammer to my own igloo, and then to my face.

I'd rather have my lovely dog and my obedient girlfriend.

I don't mind being one of the lads, but not in this context.

    I resent the implication.

As do my Burberry hat, sovereign ring and pitbull.

There is a difference between being one of the lads and wearing Stone Island jackets, causing trouble at football matches and playing darts in the local.

    Hi all,

My 2nd post to the site but my first to any discussion.

I honestly think that if this fight goes ahead it is a genuine 50/50 fight.

Pac Man is a great fighter but as Moralles and Marquez (who in my opinion won both fights) have both shown, he is not unbeatable. Also, I know this might sound daft but he hasn't been caught with anything solid above 130 lbs as Diaz was too ordinary and De La Hoya, as Roach said, "Couldn't pull the trigger". Hatton will catch him and there has to be questions about whether Pac Man can take a punch from an excellent puncher at 140lbs.

The tactics will be the key thing (though aren't they always?). If it's a brawl then I see Hatton win. Even a shot Moralles had Pac Man hurt in their rubber-match, albeit briefly.
However, if Pac Man decides to move and be slick I can see him win a wide UD. Hatton has improved under Floyd Mayweather Senior but, in my opinion, not as much as people are saying. Mallignaggi froze on the night and if he hadn't I honestly think the outcome would have been different.

I'll definitly be buying the PPV however!

Malignaggi could have 100 goes at Hatton and would lose 99 times.

Unless you have power or something 'different', you aren't beating Hatton.

He can't punch through a wet paper bag, and for a supposed slickster is remarkably hittable when he doesn't blatantly duck below the belt.

I bet even Scurla and TFFP picked Hatton!

Good post in parts but I disagree with your evaluation of Malignaggi. I think any version of Paulie is beaten by Hatton. The Magic Man just isnt in the same league as Hatton.

As for Hatton v Pac, I do think it's tight and agree that Hatton comes out on top in a brawl. If Pac does indeed box Hatton then the fight becomes much more difficult for Ricky. However, I do see Hatton still being able to catch and land on a smaller opponent.

    I posted the following on another thread so excuse anything out of context;
