How can you say that Hatton is on a decline and not place him top 10 P4P when you hold Pacman at #2. This makes no sense considering that Hatton would murder Pac at 135, 137 (catch), 140, or any weight. And no Ricky is not naturally much bigger than Pac, they're almost the exact same height.

My friend, neither you, I or 98% of this sites members are intelligent enough, rational enough or knowledgeable enough to discuss such matters....according to the haters. Matters like this should be discussed and decided by 'the purists'.

    KNOW YOUR PLACE!

Can't agree more with the above....the hatred for Hatton is just plain stupid. No point even arguing about this. Of course he is top 10 p4p.

Hmm Hatton has fought his career at 140lbs and Pacman started at 112lbs, maybe thats why? Anyway this would be a good fight but Hatton is the naturally bigger, thicker set men

Anyway if you had Marquez beating Pacman, how can you have Pacman ahead of Marquez?

It doesn't matter if his skills aren't pound 4 pound. Your p4p ranking is based on your achievements in the ring, not on your skill level.

I know, and he didnt show p4p ability in his so called great wins, sorry but hes in that list only becouse he can make some rich promoters even more richer hes no where near as good as Mayweather, Pacman, Calzaghe or Cotto, he just looks good in his own division.
And last time I checked p4p has smth to do with beeing good not only at one division.

How do you beat a consensus top three P4P fighter without showing P4P ability? :?

I think "Pound For Pound" has lost it's meaning over the years.
it is thrown around way too much now.

P4P IMO is about how good fighters are regardless of size, and how they would measure up if they were all the same size. I don't believe division-hopping really has anything to do with it.

edit: how else did Hopkins rise to the top of the p4p lists while still MW-champ?

So Tszyu was unknown and there were 15 months between November 2004 and June 2005? Ok.

How Calzaghe was p4p while beeing 168 ? becouse fans and experts was favoing him over most 175ers including Hopkins himself.
I for one, dont think Hatton would be favourite going into fights with Mosley, Cotto, Margo and oc Mayweather rematch.

Another thing about Hopkins, he showed over long period of time that hes one of the best middleweights there was.

Hatton doesnt fit in into any of these descriptions and yet hes considered p4p material.

edit: yes tszyu is his only win (I give him credit for that, but Tszyu was on decline then) that started this hype, do you remember where hatton was at p4p list after beating him ??

For the record, i consider Hatton maybe p4p top-15 or at the very best borderline top-10. He doesn't look great at what he does even though it's apparently effective and hard to overcome.
Anyway, my response was not about Hatton but about the definition of the term p4p.
