What is the main reason for the hatred? if he fought Witter and won would it change your view of him?

Before the Castillo fight everyone said he was fighting bums (Castillo was/wasn't shot I can't be arsed debating) then obviously Castillo was shot. He called out the best fighter in the world straight after that fight, people applauded him for that. He get's KO'd and now we're back to the hating again.

So just out of interest would fighting Witter make a difference?

I dislike him purely based on his persona, not on credentials. Its a ****ing sham. The type of guy you meet who is an absolute ***** behind closed doors.

How do you know he's a ***** behind closed doors? I've never heard anyone come out and say that.

This isn't a big debate I'm looking for guys, I'm just interested to find out. Coz there's a lot worse personalities in Boxing IMO who don't get the level of hatred Hatton does.

oh yeah, and don't forget the lazcano fight is for the fans...........

if you're willing to pay £15 on PPV to watch hatton hug and bore his way to another shitty win. :good

I'm no hater of the man; I just don't understand the Lazcano thing. Nothing wrong with a confidence booster, but the choice of opponent should have better. Lazcano hasn't been the same fighter since Castillo mugged-the-living-**** out of him. If I'm gonna fork out for PPV I want to know that the fight might be even a little competitive.

I don't really care if he fights Witter; but if Hatton did fight and beat him at least that way Witter would shut the **** up; Good news for Ricky and for the rest of us.

If he gets past Paulie/Ndou (I won't even include Juan-the-can) then he should probably just give Witter the fight, just due to the fact that Witter is the undoubted No.2 in the division.

he's like a ****in' broken record "i'm one of the lads":patsch

did you watch the sky sports interview where he says lazcano is ranked no.2 by ibo which apparently is a 'very' credible organization and it will be a tough fight, he ended it with his "i'm one of the guys":rofl

he was trying to pull a girl of a friend of mine at a club in london, my friend told him to back off but then his (haton's) entourage full of big bald scary guys scared them off.

To be honest though, would it not have been SKY's decision to make it box office or not?

If he just said **** it Sky either make it on Sky Sports or your not getting the rights, they would've told him to **** off.

This way people either get the choice to buy it and watch or keep your pennies.

If someone spends the money that's their choice.

I know a few people with the exact same personality, outlook, 'one of the lads' - except youre ****ing not.

Oh, and anyone who talks about themselves in the third person instantly disqualifies themselves from being liked by me. I've turned down some exceptional ***** in my time because a chick has referred to herself in such a manner.

I have met him several times and he was a down to earth guy, pure quality compared to some sportsmen.

He still attends the small fights at leisure centers

My sister and brother in law met him,Rooney and Colleen in The Bellagio in Vegas on honeymoon after the Castillo fight, asked for auotgraphs and said they couldn't have been nicer.

To be fair though the talking in 3rd person **** is a bit annoying, but like I said for the level of hating, there's a lot worse personalities in Boxing that don't get anywhere near the bad press Hatton gets on here.
