If Hatton wants respect as a FIGHTER he must fight Junior Witter instead of JUAN LAZCANO. At least when Floyd is fighting someone other than the number one in his division he's fighting the champion from another division, or a titlist from a higher weight/biggest money-name in the sport. Ricky is fighting the number 8 fighter in the division who is coming off a loss to a guy that is pretty much done in the division, and also don't forget that Lazcano hasn't fought since last FEBRUARY.
i have to admit to being a long-time hatton hater at first, when he was fighting nobodies on showtime, i'd watch and at least i'd appreciate his tough brawling style, especially his body punching but since he's moved up in class and (not coincidentally) adopted his hugging/mugging style (which came to the fore big time against tszyu), i have been waiting for someone to use their elbows to push him off, and then to land a left hook flush when he bores in swinging wildy with his head right there... that made one night in december last year one of my favorite nights as a fan of the sport
He's running scared of Witter! he knows he can get away with losing to Mayweather without losing credit! but let's face it he was totally outclassed and will get knocked out again. Fight Witter and tell the truth about why you are not fighting him, because when you lose to him; THE HYPE IS OVER!!!
